Chunkosaurus Rex roared to a win, beating out Chunk Norris for the top spot in Texas State Parks Fat Squirrel Week.

Chunkosaurus is a fan favorite at Dinosaur Valley State Park, moving surprisingly fast in the quest for acorns and camper crumbs.

There is a Marginal (Level 1 of 5) risk of severe thunderstorms this Saturday in the northern Ranchlands including Northern Zapata, Jim Hogg, Brooks, Kenedy, and Northern Willacy counties. The main concerns with any strong or severe thunderstorms are wind and heavy rainfall, but there is uncertainty regarding the coverage and locations of where the severe storms (if any) will be. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to refine the forecast!
