🎙️💥 KAYLA JANE 💥🎙️

If you were in the room, you already know! That voice could burn the paint off a barn and still leave you crying for more. 🔥 Kayla Jane doesn’t just sing, she testifies. Every note has grit, grace, and a whole lot of lived life behind it.



Her band? Absolute chaos in the best way. From Doug bragging about his lightning-fast “floor-to-food-recovery” reflexes 🍳⚡ to James casually dropping, “Yeah, I once found a leg while scuba diving” (and then waiting WAAAAAY too long to clarify it was prosthetic) 🦵😂 And when asked tater tots or fries, Ralph didn’t hesitate: “Fries. Tater tots are for children.” 🍟🔥 

Together they rolled through stories, tequila, heartbreak, and honky-tonk heat, proving that country can be funny, fearless, and still deeply human. 

They had the whole room laughing and cheering, then completely still when Kayla sang “Same Damn Lips” and “Morphine Moon.” That’s range, y’all. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Country, grunge, grit, humor, heartbreak, this crew brought all of it. Every story. Every sound. Every ounce of honesty.

😍❤️ SYDNEY ANN CONKLIN ❤️😍

From episode #2 to episode #94!!!! ❤️‍🔥 Sydney Ann Conklin has been part of Local Sets since the very beginning, literally watching our very first live stream while recovering from being sick 🥹💎 3 weeks later, she walked in with a voice that stopped us in our tracks, and now she just came back as a full-blown phenom⚡🚀🤩



What makes Sydney special isn’t just that her voice is one of the absolute best in Americana and country today it’s that her songs feel alive! They're spooky when they want to be, heartbreaking when they need to be, and hopeful when the world gets heavy🌙🌊🎶

This set was proof of it: the outlaw storytelling of “Highway Robbery,” the heartbreak in “In Her Arms,” the warning howl of “Devil’s Door,” the nature-soaked peace of “The Hill,” and the siren call of “Something in the Swells” (dropping Halloween 🎃👻) 🔥 Each song felt like a different side of the same brilliant soul.

Sydney is one of those rare artists who can take a cover and completely rearrange it, like she’s bending time, reshaping classics until they sound like they were written for her.

Her version of Charlie Pride’s “Snakes Crawl at Night” is haunting, unforgettable, and dare I say, WAY BETTER than the original 🙊 🐍✨  

She's proof that the world’s best voices aren’t always famous yet. But trust me, her voice will be. She’s the kind of artist people brag about seeing before everyone else caught on ❤️✨

Trevor rolled in from Garland by way of Buda Treehouse, brought along Zach & Shane (and 3 extra cameras), and gave us everything from chaotic “Oh Yeah” energy to the haunting weight of Rainy Day and the fire of Burn. 🌊🔥

We got disc golf stories, a jaw that literally pops on demand (Shane, are you okay??), and a reminder that music can be silly, devastating, and necessary, sometimes all in one set. We also got a secret website performance and Trevor on drums at one point as well 😁 💪👀

🌹 THANK YOU, ANA BARAJAS 🌹

What a beautiful night ✨ Ana Barajas and her incredible band (Eduardo 🇧🇴, Mauricio 🇸🇻, Alvaro 🇵🇪, and Ana herself 🇨🇴) filled the room with music that was as heartfelt as it was global 🌍.



From the bilingual love waltz “Blue Roses” 🌹💙, inspired by Ana’s marriage and sung in both Spanish and English, to “Aguilar” 🦅 a soaring, powerful piece inspired by a road trip to the Crazy Horse monument and an eagle appearing during a ceremonial dance. With its sacred energy, haunting vocals, and sweeping arrangements, it was one of the most moving songs we’ve ever heard on Local Sets. Truly unforgettable🙌⚡❤️‍🔥

Ana, Eduardo, Mauricio, and Alvaro — thank you for reminding us that music is connection, tradition, and future all at once 🙌.

💪⚡ THANK YOU, ARI & THE ARTIFACTS ⚡❤️‍🔥

The night started with chaos (as it should) — mics ringing 🎙️, Reaper not recording 🎛️, hands awkwardly flailing like Ricky Bobby 👐😂. But once Ari & The Artifacts locked in, it was pure magic.



Ari dedicated *Way To Go* to his wife ❤️, a song written when they first started dating in 2016 — now performed as newlyweds who tied the knot in Vegas 🎲💍 (tragically without Elvis, but we’ll let it slide). The track is tender, powerful, and proof that soul can be both personal and universal.

Then came *Fertile Ground*, weaving dream imagery and rootsy metaphors into a lush, Paul Simon-inspired journey 🌱✨. Ari calls their sound *“power pop soul rock with a slice of Americano”* — which basically means anything goes, as long as it grooves. Wayne held it down on bass like a quiet assassin 🎸, Paul drove the ship steady and true 🥁, and Ari’s voice carried the stories with warmth, humor, and depth.

From Craigslist connections (praise be to the Great Craig 🙏📃) to prison jokes, from Paul’s “mom redirected me from minibike to drums” origin story 🚲➡️🥁, to Ari describing songwriting as shouting into a canyon until the echo sounds good… this was a set full of heart, laughs, and honesty.

Thank you, Ari, Wayne, and Paul, for filling the room with songs that feel both intimate and expansive. Y’all are the real deal!!
