Around ten years ago, during a visit to Cape Cod with my brother and sister to see our mom, I first realized that this story had the potential to be a great tale. While it had already become a favored anecdote in our family folklore, something was different during that particular visit. It felt as though I was hearing it for the very first time, and some of it just didn't add up. As a parent myself, it became increasingly difficult to place myself in my own parents' shoes.
Over the last decade, I intermittently conducted interviews, made graphics, storyboarded, produced animations, created a page, and even enrolled in a memoir writing class and a documentary development workshop to bring this project to life.
Now I've moved the project along to this point and I'm asking for your help to cross the finish line -lots of great rewards -interesting pop culture references (not to mention Blue Oyster Cult) Even if you can't donate check it out - all the 70's references as Licorice Pizza but it's a documentary 😊
