Small update on Bonsai Books! Their final day has been changed to be November 29th.

Here is our final hours the Bonsai Books Coffee Shop will be open until 5pm on Sat Nov 1st, and our store will continue to be open until Sat Nov 29 which is Small Business Saturday, please come out and support us in these final days. Our doors will be closed permanently at 4pm Sat Nov 29, 2025.

I'm excited to see Rocket Snacks and Beyond is just about to open! Today at 1 PM, they are planning a ribbon cutting!

Today only during grand opening, everything is 10% off, and Deb told me that anyone who purchases something will get a scratch off card that may win you a free bag of Rocket Snacks (LIMITED NUMBER OF CARDS AVAILABLE).

In a matter of about a week, the store went from still being mostly void of products to filled with all kinds of goodies. It's clear to me that these guys have been working hard to get their store ready for today.

Hopefully by the time you see this, I'll have linked my recent article in the comments of each photo... it's been updated to reflect the latest.

[Sigh] Facebook just continues to keep going down the 💩-er. I guess there is now a way for groups to make a list of "approved" individuals so that a post shouldn't get stuck in review h3ll for five years. But it doesn't matter if you are in the list, odds are, your post will still get held for review. What's the point of trying to post on a platform if you can't even post there?

It's not just Facebook, but that's a topic for another time.

WHOA this is a PLOT TWIST! Maverik and K*m and Go say goodbye to Michigan!

Casey’s now operates seven former K*m & Go locations that Maverik had previously acquired along with a former baked goods shop that the Utah retailer converted to a c-store this summer.

New ownership of the burger/hot dog stand at Menards! It's now called Juicy's. The staff told me that the menu has retained the items from the previous owners, and they've added some new things to the menu including biscuits and gravy.

Hot take: After seeing King FM's latest article from Doug Randall, I think it's pretty clear that the closure of YMCA is "indefinite," and not necessarily "permanent." I do believe they'd like to reopen if it is possible, or else find someone locally who would want to try to run the place themselves. But what ultimately will happen is entirely up in the air.

So it sounds like the Cheyenne Applebees Franchise is going to a Colorado franchisee, according to tonight's City Council Meeting. Sounds like they'd continue DBA Applebees, not set to change anything service or food wise. They are working to move the liquor license over. New franchisee is Apple Colorado. Sounds like there will be some face lifts out of concern of the current condition of the building.

QUICK UPDATE on Ridge Road Closure: Closure to start tomorrow, Sep 23rd. They were going to close it today but had a cancellation.
