I smuggled my SONY TR3 Video8 camcorder into FRANK ZAPPA at Music Hall in Cleveland Ohio on March 5th 1988. It was the second concert that I recorded from the audience on a camcorder that I owned. The night prior, I had recorded Leo Kottke. Stealth video recording was so uncommon at this point, that when an usher (in those time a senior citizen in a suit jacket uniform) saw what I was doing during the 1st set. I was terrified That I was busted and would have to stop recording...instead, the usher wanted to see how it looked and shot a bit with my camcorder!
Because of the usher not caring I was video recording, I set up the tripod we have smuggled in. WOW

To end an infrequent solo gig at the Euclid Tavern in Cleveland Ohio on February 27th 1986, Oroboros front man JIM MILLER performed a rarely played song he wrote titled MEDIA MADNESS. It was inspired by the media overload surrounding the Luke and Laura episode of GENERAL HOSTPITAL. With all the media, technology and dehumanization "advances" since this song was written, a few extra versus may be in order!

The Janglers covered Bob Dylan almost every night. A few of the songs were not played often...including "It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry". As far as I know this was the only version....and the gig was not video recorded. This soundboard audio recording comes directly from the cassette master.
