Official Announcement from the Covington Public Works Department about this morning's water leak on Beverly and Hemlock (N. Alleghany Avenue).

Water Leak

December 16, 2025

The City of Covington would like to make citizens and businesses aware that there is a water leak off of Hemlock/Beverly. Water needed to be shut off in order to repair the leak. Public Works is working diligently on restoring water service to residents and businesses. Additional information will be provided as soon as possible.

BREAKING NEWS NOW....

Water Line Break - City of Covington, VA

According to Anthony Lowery, Director of Public Works for the City of Covington, there is currently a water line break in the alley between Beverly Street and N. Alleghany Avenue in the vicinity of Hemlock Street. No word on restoration time, but do know that it will be off several hours as the break is located and crews are cleared to dig.
