LOW MOOR — Due to a cold weather advisory and dangerously cold wind chills, Alleghany Highlands Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, December 15.

The delay is being implemented to support the safety and well-being of students and staff during morning travel and bus routes.

Individuals needing assistance to reach either location are asked to call the Alleghany County Sheriff's Office at 540-965-1770 ext. 0.

We have lots of concerts this week due to some weather-related schedule changes:
Monday (12/15) - CMS Covington Middle School Band, 6pm

Tuesday (12/16)- AHS Alleghany High School Band, 6pm AND AHS Choir at 7:30pm

Thursday (12/18) - CMS Covington Middle School Choirs, 6pm

Friday (12/19)- Mountain Opry & the AHS Choir, 7pm at the Historic Masonic Theater.

Additionally, for your information:
The AHS Choir is performing for the Retired Teachers Christmas luncheon at Temple Baptist on Tuesday (12/16) at 11am (not a public performance)

The AHS and CMS bands and choirs will be performing their Recruitment Concert for several elementary and middle school students at CMS on Friday (12/19) at 9:30am (not a public performance)
