The ARISE News family is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague, News Anchor, Reporter, and Producer, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu.

Sommie passed away in the early hours of Monday, September 29, 2025, following an armed robbery at her residence in Katampe, Abuja. Though she was rushed to the hospital, her treatment was delayed as staff requested identification before attending to her, a negligence that sadly cost her life. The police are currently investigating.
