One thing I absolutely loved about anchoring this 10th birthday celebration was how it began not with games or dancing, but with creativity

The celebrant and her friends gathered around the craft table, transforming ordinary makeup purses into beautiful masterpieces. Watching these young queens express themselves through colors, designs, and imagination was truly inspiring.

As an MC, moments like these remind me that children's parties can be fun, engaging, and educational all at once. Every purse told a story, every design reflected a unique personality, and every smile showed the joy of creating something special with their own hands.

The ARISE News family is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague, News Anchor, Reporter, and Producer, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu.

Sommie passed away in the early hours of Monday, September 29, 2025, following an armed robbery at her residence in Katampe, Abuja. Though she was rushed to the hospital, her treatment was delayed as staff requested identification before attending to her, a negligence that sadly cost her life. The police are currently investigating.

Join us this Saturday at 4 PM on Connect And Reflect with Dr. Oke Oke Olumide as we discuss hospital negligence in Nigeria and why so many avoidable deaths continue to occur.
