Game time at our just got even better.

You’ve seen our sport court reveal, but now we’re taking it to the next level with our Basketball Hoop With Back Net. And it’s been a total game-changer!

As Ethan would say, measure 62 times, drill once. 😅 And a tip from Boss Man Jamie, that the crew has learned over the years - use some tape so you can mark on that vs the doors. It’s the little things in construction.

Warm up your space with ceiling detail, say no more. Manomin Resawn Timbers is always top of our list. Bonus - they make it easy with install box beams. The guys had these babies installed in a few hours, and there’s more of where this came from. We also did the entry too. Now that’s how you make a statement in a home.

You know how the saying goes, the contractor’s house is always the last to get finished? Well, guilty as charged. But when we finally tackled this slat wall project in our own space, it reminded us why we fell in love with this design element in the first place.⁠

Real talk: Jamie spent 40 hours on this (plus 15 hours of help from Topher), and for the first two weeks after, he kept saying “we’re never doing that again.” But now? He sits back and admires it every single day. ✨⁠

Here’s what made this project worth every minute:⁠
- 250 individual slats cut from 4 sheets of MDF⁠
- Tricorn Black by Sherwin-Williams (same as our trim)⁠
- Spaced 3/4” apart with tile spacers for perfect alignment⁠
- Liquid nails + nail gun for installation⁠

The hardest part wasn’t the install. It was deciding on the final design. We went through 8 different versions before landing on floating cabinetry with picture lighting and no open shelving. Sometimes the planning takes longer than the doing, and that’s totally normal.⁠

Would we do it again? Jamie says yes now (ask me in another 4 years 😂). But seriously, if you’re looking for a statement wall that actually makes an impact, this is it.⁠

Just your average Minneapolis home - until the contractor understood the assignment.
