As 2023 draws to a close, I cannot help but look back at the year in some contempt. Upon reflection I scoffed at the arduous trials that make this year particularly memorable. One chapter in particular stands out; the day I discovered that someone broke into the studio and stole over $20,000 worth of essential music production gear.

This morning someone broke into my recording studio stole my instruments, drum machine, turntables, speakers and a mic!

Im a little pi**ed, things will slow down for a bit but I will not be discouraged.

This person knows me, knows what I do, knows what im about and whom I represent. He knows that this hurt me, my kids and my clients.

I will have to work harder. Meanwhile, keep me in prayer this has been a tough year…but I continue.

Love to for trusting me yet again with his musical babies! Artists around the world have been encouraging me to produce a little more, I might, after this. This record is not just InderPaul’s baby, it’s to all the artists, the wordsmiths and the musicians who articulate their emotions through music. To all those who have been working with me this year, that have pushed me out of my mixing and mastering comfort zone. InderPaul trusts me way too much lol, he literally told me to “do your thing”...so I did. Linear tracked, tape saturated a hybrid workflow with limited use of the undo button, I love the wow and flutter, love the most hits and misalignments, I love the tape...warts and all. I always felt InderPaul could express himself more with the right musicianship with dynamics...I’m trying to get you to relate to the emotion so I kinda went against the grain.

Yep it’s different to our previous collaborations, some may say we went left lol... yeah we did, can’t hold us down! if you like this then we hope you like the whole Colindale Tape! Watch this space!
