Losing my little brother has taken a toll on me in ways I can’t even explain. I smile on the outside, but inside, I’m breaking. I’m not okay.

Some days I want to scream just to let the pain out… but I can’t. So I carry it — quietly, heavily, and with love.

Winston’s Chronicles – Entry 30

“I Think I’m Being Gaslit.”

Dear Diary,
Today started with hope.
I swam up. I gave face. I gave fin.
I even did that cute little “I’m starving” loop I’ve been perfecting since 2023.

And what did I get in return?

Air.
Bubbles.
Delusion.

Layliah walked by and said,

“Didn’t I feed you already?”

EXCUSE ME?!?
Ma’am…
When?
Where?
With what?
Ghost flakes?

I checked the top of the tank.
Dry.
I checked the gravel.
Nothing but disappointment.

So now I’m starting to think—am I being gaslit?
Because I know what unfed feels like, and THIS is definitely it.

I floated in slow, passive-aggressive circles.
No eye contact.
No kisses.
Just fins and fury.

Even the snail looked at me like,

“Dramatic… but valid.” 🐌

At this point, I’m not asking.
I’m demanding.
I want:
• Morning flakes
• Evening flakes
• A written apology
• And maybe a motivational playlist to swim to

Because I’m tired.
Tired of being cute and ignored.
Tired of promises and empty water.

My heart melts every time.
Not because it’s loud or grand—but because it’s real.
It’s the way he says it like he means it.
Like I’m peace in his day. Like love lives in my name.
