šŸ’œšŸ Soror Faithful Pearl šŸšŸ’œ

Some titles are given.

Some are earned.

But the one I cherish most is Soror.

Joining Kappa Nu Xi Sorority, Inc. has been more than becoming a member of an organization—it has been stepping into a sisterhood rooted in faith, service, leadership, and purpose.

As one of The Seed Six, I understand that being first isn’t about recognition. It’s about responsibility. It’s about planting seeds that future sisters will one day harvest.

I pray that every decision I make reflects integrity, every act of service leaves a lasting impact, and every woman who comes after us finds a place where she can grow, lead, and flourish.

Here’s to building something that will outlive us. šŸŒ³šŸ

Faithful. Purposeful. Rooted.

Day 6. šŸ’”šŸ™šŸ½

Six days.

Six days of waking up hoping today will be different…

…and six days of realizing the pain is still here.

Some people think chronic pain is something you ā€œget used to.ā€

The truth is…

You don’t.

You simply learn how to survive it.

Every morning I wake up praying today will be easier.

Every night I go to bed hoping tomorrow will be different.

And somewhere in between, I fight to keep going.

I take the medications.
I use the heating pad.
I use the heating blanket.
I do everything my doctors have told me to do.

Yet the pain still finds a way to remind me it’s there.

The hardest part isn’t just the physical pain.

It’s grieving the life I used to have.

I miss being able to work.
I miss having energy.
I miss making plans without wondering if my body will let me keep them.
I miss feeling like me.

Some days I wonder what it feels like to wake up without immediately thinking about pain.

I honestly can’t remember.

But even in the middle of this battle, I’m choosing to hold on to my faith.

Not because it’s easy…

But because it’s all I have.

So today, I’m asking for your prayers again.

Pray that God gives me strength for another day.
Pray for healing over my body.
Pray for wisdom for every doctor involved in my care.
And pray that one day, this season of suffering will become a testimony of God’s faithfulness.

Lord, I’m weary. My body is tired, my heart is heavy, and my mind is exhausted. Please remind me that You are carrying me even on the days when I don’t feel strong enough to take another step.

ā€œCome to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.ā€ — Matthew 11:28 šŸ¤šŸ™šŸ½

Day 5. šŸ’”šŸ™šŸ½

Five days.

Five days of pain that doesn’t seem to be easing up.
Instead… it feels like it’s getting worse.

Pain medication on top of pain medication…
Muscle relaxers.
Heating pad.
Anything I can do just to find a little relief.

And still… I’m hurting.

There comes a point where you stop asking, ā€œWhen will this end?ā€ and you start asking, ā€œLord, how do I make it through today?ā€

People often say, ā€œI hope you feel better soon.ā€

The truth is, with chronic pain, ā€œsoonā€ doesn’t always come.

But neither does God leave.

So today, my prayer isn’t for answers—it’s for strength.

Lord, cover me.
When the medications aren’t enough…
When my body feels like it’s fighting against me…
When the pain is louder than my thoughts…

Be louder.

Carry me through another day because I don’t have the strength to carry myself.

To everyone praying for me, checking on me, and standing with me through this journey… thank you. Your prayers are helping me hold on even when my body wants to give up.

Today is hard.
Harder than yesterday.

But I’m still here.
Still believing.
Still trusting.
One painful step at a time. šŸ’œšŸ™šŸ½

Day 4. šŸ’”šŸ™šŸ½

Today…

The pain still hasn’t subsided.

Nothing seems to be touching it.

The medications aren’t working.

Everything feels heightened.

Every movement hurts.
Every step hurts.
Even resting hurts.

I’m doing everything I’m supposed to do…
Taking my medications.
Using my heating pad.
Trying to rest.
Trying to pray.
Trying to hold on.

But today, my body is screaming louder than my strength.

Chronic pain is more than pain.

It’s exhaustion.
It’s frustration.
It’s grief.
It’s wondering how much longer you can keep fighting when every day feels heavier than the last.

I’m trying…

I really am.

But today I’m hurting at an all-time high.

If you’ve been praying for me, please don’t stop.

I need every prayer.

Pray that God calms this pain.
Pray that He gives me strength when mine is gone.
Pray that He reminds me this season won’t last forever.

Because today…

Lord, cover me.

I’m trying…

But I’m hurting more than I know how to explain.

ā€œGod is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.ā€ — Psalm 46:1 šŸ’œšŸ™šŸ½

Day 2. šŸ’”šŸ™šŸ½

The pain is still here.

As badly as I wanted to stay in bed today…

Meds in āœ”ļø
Shower done āœ”ļø

Now I have to push myself—not because I feel better, but because life doesn’t stop just because I’m in pain.

I’m a parent.
I’m a wife.
I’m a sister.
I’m a friend.
I’m a daughter.

And unfortunately, I’m often the glue holding everything together, even while I’m falling apart.

A normal day of simply trying to function requires 13 pills in the morning and 8 pills at night—all high-dose medications—just to bring my pain down to about a 7.

I’m struggling through the pain because pushing forward has always been my life. Not necessarily for me, but for the people who love me, need me, and depend on me.

But the truth is, I’m tired.

Physically. Mentally. Emotionally. Spiritually.

My quality of life is not good. I can’t work. I can’t function normally. Some days, I don’t even feel like I’m able to be a person outside of surviving this pain.

Yes, I smile.
Yes, I laugh.
Yes, I make it look good.

But I know I put on a face like I’m okay—and I’m not. I’m really not.

I’m not asking for sympathy. I’m asking for genuine prayer. Please pray for my strength, my mind, my body, and my healing. Pray that God carries me because I’m tired of always having to be strong for everyone else.

Lord, I’m still pushing, but I need You to hold me together while I keep holding everyone else together. šŸ™šŸ½šŸ’œ

Today… I don’t have a testimony.

Today, I just need prayer. šŸ’”šŸ™šŸ½

The pain today has been a 9 out of 10.

I’m on three different pain medications, three different times a day.

Lidocaine patches.
Lidocaine creams.
A TENS unit.
Magnesium creams and sprays.
Muscle relaxers.
Heating pads.

…and some days, like today, none of it helps.

I’ve been living with chronic pain since 2024, and if I’m honest… I’m exhausted.

Yes, I smile.
Yes, I laugh.
Yes, I show up.

But if you only knew the pain that’s hiding behind my smile.

People see the smile…
They don’t see the tears.
They don’t see the sleepless nights.
They don’t see the doctor’s appointments, the medications, the procedures, or the daily battle just to get out of bed.

Over the last two years, I’ve had surgery after surgery and procedure after procedure… and I’m still not done. I still have more ahead of me.

The hardest part to accept is knowing…

My ā€œnormalā€ will never be the same.
My body will never be the same.

That reality is heartbreaking.

Some days I feel strong.
Other days… like today… I feel completely defeated.

I’m so tired.

Not just physically…
Mentally.
Emotionally.
Spiritually.

I don’t want sympathy.

I just need prayer.

Please pray that God strengthens me when I feel like I have nothing left.
Pray for healing over my body.
Pray for wisdom for every doctor treating me.
Pray that I don’t lose hope in the middle of this long journey.

Because right now, all I can say is…

Lord, I’m tired. I don’t know how much more I can take, but I’m trusting You to carry me through what I can’t carry on my own. šŸ™šŸ½šŸ’œ

ā€œThe Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.ā€ — Exodus 14:14 šŸ¤

Anemia Chronicles: Episode 327. šŸ„¶šŸ˜‚

Baby… I’m sitting at the doctor’s office, and why does it feel like they got the thermostat set to Antarctica?! 😭

I’m over here shivering, rubbing my hands together, trying to warm up, and these folks walking around looking comfortable. Meanwhile, I done got up and turned THEIR thermostat up all by myself. šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤£

Listen… don’t judge me! This anemia got me feeling like it’s 20 degrees year-round. Y’all talking about staying cool, and I’m just trying to survive. šŸ˜‚šŸ„¶

If anybody comes looking for who touched the thermostat… mind y’all business. I’m fighting for my life over here! 😭🤣

Every piece of me tells a story. šŸ¤ŽāœØ

The pain didn’t destroy me… it made me stronger.
The faith didn’t fail me… it carried me.
The purpose didn’t always make sense… but it kept me moving.
The joy reminded me that even after heartbreak, I could still smile.
The growth taught me that healing isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about becoming who God always intended me to be.

I’ve been broken.
I’ve been tested.
I’ve been misunderstood.
I’ve had to rebuild myself more times than I can count.

But every piece—every tear, every lesson, every victory, every setback, every prayer—belongs to me. I don’t have to hide the chapters that shaped me, because without them, I wouldn’t be who I am today.

I’m no longer searching for the missing pieces.

I’ve realized God never lost them… He was putting them together all along.

I am whole.
Not because life has been perfect…
but because God’s grace has been present in every piece. āœØšŸ¤

Reintroducing myself because life has a way of changing you…

The woman you knew isn’t the woman standing here today.

I’ve survived heartbreak.
I’ve survived loss.
I’ve survived disappointment.
I’ve survived battles that should’ve broken me.

Yet here I am…

Still smiling.
Still standing.
Still blessed.

And yes…
I’m definitely his Big Mama.
Definitely his wife. šŸ’ā¤ļø

God’s grace looks good on me.✨
