The Jerome Chamber of Commerce is excited to share the following news from our friends and partners of Jerome 20/20

Welcome Camille!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jerome 20/20 Names Camille Barigar as New Executive Director

JEROME, ID โ€“ September 5, 2025 โ€” The Jerome 20/20 Economic Development Organization proudly announces the appointment of Camille Barigar as its new Executive Director. Barigar brings a wealth of experience in community engagement, strategic development, and public affairs to the role, along with deep roots in the Magic Valley.

A fifth-generation southern Idahoan, Barigar has long championed local communities through leadership positions in both the public and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, she served as Regional Director for Blue Cross of Idaho, where she led community impact and public affairs efforts across South Central Idaho. Prior to that, she spent more than two decades at the College of Southern Idaho, enriching the regionโ€™s cultural and educational landscape through the arts, outreach programs, and adult enrichment.

โ€œWe are thrilled to welcome Camille Barigar to Jerome 20/20,โ€ said Michael Arrington, Chair of the Jerome 20/20 Board of Directors. โ€œHer background in building meaningful partnerships, her passion for rural economic development, and her lifelong ties to this region make her an exceptional fit to lead our organization into its next chapter.โ€

As Executive Director, Barigar will lead the organization's mission in the City and County of Jerome to retain, expand, and recruit businesses, foster sustainable economic growth, leverage the strengths of local business and industry, and enhance the quality of life for all who live and work in the region. Jerome 20/20 works closely with public and private sector partners to support job creation, promote infrastructure investment, and position Jerome as a thriving hub for commerce and industry.

โ€œIโ€™m honored to step into this role and build on the incredible foundation already in place,โ€ said Barigar. โ€œJerome is a community of strength and opportunity โ€” from its strong agricultural heritage to its growing logistics and manufacturing sectors โ€” and I look forward to helping the community grow in a way thatโ€™s both strategic and deeply rooted in local values.โ€

Barigarโ€™s appointment signals renewed momentum for Jerome 20/20 as it continues its work to make Jerome County one of the most business-friendly and economically resilient regions in Idaho.

This past weekend, Firefighter Jason Felter successfully passed his IFSAC Firefighter I along with his IFSAC Hazmat Awareness and Operations certifications.

We also want to recognize Firefighter Alex Schenk for earning his IFSAC Driver Operator certification!

These accomplishments represent a lot of hard work, training, and dedication to serving our community. We are proud of the continued commitment our firefighters put into developing their skills to keep Jerome safe.
