šŸ“š Where good coffee meets even better company!

At The Good Book, cozy reading nooks, warm coffee, and shelves of bestsellers create a space built on connection and community. Founders Donna and Brooke partnered with local artist Cindy Lyons, whose hand-painted mural and thoughtful decor bring the space to life. The cafe’s inviting atmosphere and high-quality coffee have quickly made it a local favorite! ā˜•āœØ

Now, the two are dreaming even bigger with plans to expand, add an event space, and open even more doors for ministry and hope!

As the air turns crisp and leaves turn to shades of amber and rust, there’s something special about slowing down and setting a beautiful table. šŸ‚ Whether it’s Thanksgiving dinner or a cozy fall supper, a well-set table says what words often can’t: I’m so glad you’re here!

Perfect Settings says hosts are blending the thoughtful ways brides and hosts alike are blending timeless Southern charm with fall inspired details. From Juliska’s Forest Walk collection layered with earthy, nature inspired motifs to rich placemats, tortoiseshell glassware, and the soft glow of touch lamps, every piece tells a story of warmth, gratitude, and effortless elegance.

And of course, no autumn table is complete without plush pumpkins for that perfect festive touch 🧔✨

Mahjong may be rooted in ancient tradition, but in Valdosta, it's experiencing a thoroughly modern revival. It has become more than just a game - it's a social movement, a creative outlet, and a cultural bridge. From themed tournaments and custom tiles to league nights and family play dates. Mahjong is bringing people together across generations, neighborhoods, and backgrounds.

One group of fiends, Stephanie Kurrie, McCree Woodall, Elizabeth Burns, and Lindsey Odum, have hosted weekly games since 2023. For them, it's about connection. They even plan an annual beach trip centered around Mahjong.

Devan Martin, and Emily Wetherington never imagined that their first lesson in 2024 would lead to starting the Valdosta Mahjong League which has taught dozens of others to play. Perfect Settings, Devan's store, has a beautiful selections of Mahjong sets and accessories.

For Courtney Horton and Maura Respess, Mahjong is both deeply personal and beautifully creative. They were inspired to launch Bamboo South Mahjong- a boutique experience housed at Chez What Collective. Their goal is to blend tradition, design, and instruction into something uniquely Valdosta.
