I love finding amazing places to stay wherever I visit. The Charleston Harbor Beach Club and Marina did not disappoint.

While being in the city is fun, I like for the place I stay to allow me to be outside and enjoy the weather even if I'm alone.

The clincher for this location was the fact that it had a free shuttle and a paid water taxi on site that took you into the city. That meant no fighting traffic or trying to park in narrow city streets.

The resort was amazing!
- gorgeous view of Charleston
- on the river
- spacious room with a gorgeous bathroom and a fireplace
- a patio or balcony
- swimming pools
- restaurants and a bar on site
- gated

If you're looking to make Charleston your next stop, I'd love to help you plan it!

🏰✨ Girls Trip to Disney, Anyone?

I’ve got an idea bouncing around in my head, and I’m wondering if anyone else might be interested!

What about a girls getaway to Walt Disney World?

Come solo, bring your bestie, your sister, your mom, or just come ready to make some new friends!

We could enjoy some Disney magic together while still having the freedom to explore on our own.

Nothing planned yet! I’m just testing the waters to see if there’s enough interest to make it happen!

💕 So tell me, would you be up for a Disney Girls Getaway?

I met with my first “real” travel client this week. ❤️

And by “real,” I mean someone who isn’t immediate family!

Before we met, I had already pulled together some options based on what I knew they wanted. By the end of our meeting, their vacation and flights were booked, and we had a list of a few things we still needed to plan.

Then she asked:

“How much do I owe you?”

My answer? “Nothing.”

That’s one of the great things about using a travel advisor. For the trips I book, there’s no additional planning fee from me. Hotels, resorts, theme parks and other travel suppliers pay us a commission for helping you plan and book your trip.

And it doesn’t have to be a huge vacation.

An hour away or across the country. One night or two weeks. I can help you sort through the sea of options so you don’t have to.

No matter your next stop, I’d love to help you plan it. ✈️❤️

Disney just gave you a sign that it’s time to book the trip. 🐯✨

Stop waiting for “someday.”

Let’s make Disney your next stop. 🏰❤️

Tell me, where should my next stop be?

A little throwback to last year’s birthday trip to Savannah, Georgia—a birthday adventure I chose to take solo. 💛

There’s something empowering about realizing you don’t have to wait for someone else to be ready before you go explore.

I stayed across the river at The Westin and loved having a quieter place to retreat while still being just a free ferry ride from downtown. In the evenings, I enjoyed the fire pit and complimentary s’mores and felt comfortable relaxing around the property on my own.

During the day, I explored Savannah at my own pace—riding the hop-on/hop-off trolley, visiting Forsyth Farmers’ Market, shopping along Broughton Street, and browsing E. Shaver Booksellers with its resident cats. 📚 A quick lunch of empanadas at Mint to Be Mojito kept me going.

I loved learning about Savannah’s history and taking in all those gorgeous homes and architecture.

Dinner at Huey’s was fried green tomatoes with remoulade (of course!), a HUGE shrimp po’ boy, and beignets to go. 😋

I ended the evening taking the ferry back across the river as the sun set, watching a massive ship pass by and the lights come on along the riverfront.

That’s one of my favorite things about solo travel—you get to follow your own curiosity, change plans when you want, and discover just how capable you really are.

Savannah gave me some wonderful birthday memories—and a little more confidence to keep saying yes to the next adventure. ❤️

If you’re looking for a reason to spend a day in New Bern, I found two delicious ones!

A quick trip through town on Monday turned into a couple of great finds.

🍽️ I stopped for lunch at The Chelsea and loved its casual elegance—white linen tablecloths, stained glass, and plenty of history. The building was once home to the pharmacy of Caleb Bradham, inventor of Pepsi-Cola!

I started with fried green tomatoes topped with blue crab and Tidewater tartar sauce, followed by shrimp and grits with grilled shrimp and andouille sausage. Delicious!

🧁 For dessert, I wandered down to Bella’s Cafe. Such a cozy little spot! I passed up the amazing-looking cinnamon roll for a carrot cake cupcake—and it was heavenly.

I only wish I’d had more time to explore!

If New Bern is on your list, these are two stops I’d recommend. And MumFest, October 10–11, would be a perfect excuse for a fall visit! 🍂

Follow along to see where my next stop will be.

Disney has been part of my family’s story for almost 50 years. ❤️

My parents took me. I took my children. And now I’ve had the joy of sharing it with my grandchildren.

Four generations have made memories there.

It’s hard to find something that can bring the same kind of joy and wonder to generations nearly 50 years apart. And the memories? Those are priceless.

My parents took me on my first trip there around 1976–77. I’m the kid in the back crossing the Barrel Bridge to Tom Sawyer Island.

Ryan’s first trip was in 1994. Technically, it was Wes’ first trip too…we just didn’t know it until a few weeks later. 😉

Wes got his first official trip in 2002, complete with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Then in 2023, it was Harper’s turn. She was just under three, and even now she remembers that trip.

I can't wait to share it with Ivy and Waylon.

There’s something emotional about looking at that little girl crossing the Barrel Bridge almost 50 years ago and realizing she had no idea she’d someday bring her own children—and then her grandchildren—back to the same place. ❤️

Maybe that’s why helping families plan Disney trips means so much to me. You’re not just planning a vacation. You’re creating stories your family may still be telling and pictures they may still be looking at 50 years from now.

I’ve been incredibly blessed to have those memories with my family. And if Disney is going to be your family’s next stop, I’d love to help you create some of that magic, too. ❤️✨🏰
