On July 7, that journey lands as FREEDOM HEART. Written and produced by Louis Siciliano, this is LOU SIX DREAMING at their most direct: a roots reggae transmission that doesn't imitate the past, but carries it forward.
The bass finds your chest before the voice arrives: "Keep on walking, my son this world lies... if we love each other, we won't have to worry." A mantra built for heavy weather.
Since the early 2000s, this collective has been a whispered name among those who dig deeper. London grit, sabar rhythms absorbed in Dakar, modular synths and field recordings — a sound that smells of wet earth and festival dawn. Now they deliver an anthem about planting your feet while the wind does damage. About holding truth like a mystery called Light. About recognizing, without sentimentality, that everything around us — mountain, sea, children's smiles, silent elders, moon, sky, Mother Earth — is Love.
No chorus to hide behind. Just the same heartbeat repeated: "You are a Freedom Heart. You feel the heart. You hold the heart."
This is what roots reggae sounds like when it honors where it comes from, and still chooses to walk its own path forward.
