Quick video on using electrolysis to help remove the tarnish from a silver ring. After the electrolysis was complete I used a toothbrush to help scrub more tarnish off and rinsed with water.

Scouted a new river swimming hole this evening. Had to cut it short due to the storm rolling in. I will try to get back there tomorrow.

Found a v**e, nails, a bit of glass, lead, old lead sinker, small sinker and .21 cents in clad.

Salvation Army hits again with another metal detector!

I left this one behind but it was perfect for a little kid to an adult with the telescopic shaft.

This one didn’t have any name brand on it but looked like it could be a fun, simple detector.

If you find a metal detector make sure to open the battery compartment and make sure there is no corrosion on the contacts.

This little detector took 6 AA batteries!😳

The AT Pro only needs 4.

I found a Bounty Hunter Gold Digger metal detector at a local Salvation Army recently. I finally was able to do a field test on the Gold Digger metal detector to see how it would perform.

I had a lot of fun using it, though, it has its pros and cons.

Pros: It is light-weight, can detect small pieces of metal, can find coins easily, trash eliminator helps to avoid digging trash.

Cons: Wrist-rest is a bit uncomfortable, only detects shallow targets, no tone differential for different types of targets.

Overall, it could be a fun starter detector for a new hobbiest or a kid.
