Yesterday was a great day but also a long day so I’m just now getting around to posting but thank you to vets Dr Tara and Dr Hannah for volunteering on their day off and being so much help to us. Also thank you to our volunteers Danielle, Kendall and our crew here.
We do a lot of things around here but the thing I feel the strongest about is castration - especially donkeys!!!! We gelded nine total yesterday - and not just donkeys, but a few minis and yearlings. Many of these will be available in a few weeks after they have fully recovered.

I am all for the breeding of sport horses, registered horses etc (with guidelines and good genetics) but the biggest problem of unwanted horses is backyard breeders and irresponsible breeding and with the help of our vets like this, we are able to continue a couple of times a year - making stallions into excellent geldings.

Thank you also for the donations of syringes, needles, vaccines and other supplies to help with the castrations. ❤️
