Media - let’s get this right, please. Trump doesn’t want ALL women to have more babies. Trump wants WHITE women to have more babies. Why? Here is the data:
The US will become ‘minority white’ by 2045, Census projects. Youthful minorities are the engine of future growth.
In 2025, the US population is projected to be around 347 million, with a significant shift in racial and ethnic composition. The non-Hispanic White population will continue to decline, while the combined racial minority populations will grow, according to the Brookings Institute. The Hispanic population is projected to continue growing quickly, and the Asian population will also increase significantly.
Because minorities as a group are younger than whites, the minority White tipping point comes earlier for younger age groups. Youth under 18–the post-millennial population–minorities outnumbered Whites in 2020. For those age 18-29–members of the younger labor force and voting age populations–the tipping point will occur in 2027.
By 2050, the Census Bureau projects the number of non-Hispanic Whites will continue to fall significantly - below 49%, the number of African Americans will have grown by roughly 30 percent, the number of Hispanics by 60 percent and the number of Asian Americans will have more than doubled.
The Latino population, already the nation's largest minority group, will triple in size and will account for most of the nation's population growth from 2005 through 2050. Hispanics will make up 29% of the U.S. population in 2050, compared with 14% in 2005.
In 2025, it's estimated that around 41.3 million people in the United States speak Spanish. This represents approximately 13% of the US population and makes the US the second-largest Spanish-speaking country in the world after Mexico.
Botttom line, minorities are quickly becoming the majority in America. This began in major cities like NYC in the mid 1990s. People of color populations will continue to grow also in smaller cities, suburban communities and even rural America in the years to come. This frighten some. It should not frighten people. It should be seen as an opportunity for America to embrace and accept ALL people of all races, ethnicities, languages, faiths into our communities. Be the difference. Treat all equally. Reach out and welcome people different than yourself. Teach your kids and grand kids to do the same. This is what America should be and can be. Be the difference. Our kids and grandchildren deserve to eradicate racism. It is our job to do so and do so daily. Thank you for reading this and listening.
