A new mom’s story is sparking debate online after a simple neighborhood introduction turned into an awkward moment at home.
According to the story, the 28-year-old mom and her husband recently welcomed a baby and hired a nanny to help. When a new neighbor came over to introduce herself, the nanny was holding the baby while the husband was nearby.
The neighbor assumed the nanny was the husband’s wife and complimented them as a couple. Instead of correcting the mistake right away, the husband only said “thank you.”
The actual wife, who was in the kitchen, stepped in and kindly cleared things up. The neighbor apologized, and the wife told her there was no need to feel bad because it was an honest mistake.
But later, the wife asked her husband why he let the misunderstanding continue. He said he was flustered, while she felt it would have been easy to say, “This is our nanny, and my wife is in the kitchen.”
Now people are split: some think it was just an awkward social moment, while others say the husband should have corrected it immediately. 👀
What do you think — harmless mistake or a red flag?
