Following the devastating tornado that impacted the Streator area, the Streator Chamber of Commerce has compiled a list of community organizations, businesses, and groups that are stepping up to assist with relief and recovery efforts.
Inspired by the incredible support already being shown throughout the community, we'll be making a donation of non-perishable food items, toiletries, and hygiene products at Streator Home Savings Bank and encourage others to consider contributing if they are able
Ways to Help and Resources Available:
• Streator Home Savings Bank is collecting non-perishable food and essential household items for the Streatorland Community Food Pantry.
• Several local businesses and organizations are collecting donations, including clothing, food, bottled water, pet supplies, hygiene items, and monetary contributions. Participating locations include Streator Elks Lodge, Star Ford, Russell Cellular, God's Will Thrift & Vintage Store, Lana Welch-Thrivent Financial, Petals by Peyton, The Thread Revival, Walmart Streator, and Streator Community Credit Union.
• Otter Creek Township and Reading Township offices are providing bottled water for affected residents, volunteers, and first responders.
For those wishing to make a financial contribution, donations may be made to:

• The American Red Cross. (1530 Fourth St. Peru, IL 61354)
• Streator Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund through the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation , which will support long-term recovery needs.
