Oh hey there! First off, I want to apologize for ghosting, but it was such an overwhelming feeling when EB was forced to take it's first hiatus in twenty two years along the fact someone reporting my show and causing Apple to pull the podcast from all the platforms (I'll explain that one later). I needed to get my head right and every time I wanted to come to the surface, more questions came from so many directions, I sank a little bit. I wanted to try and word everything the right way without emotions getting involved, but if you listen to the show, well, that's not me. Trying to operate a small business with the brewery during the pandemic didn't help matters either and needed to make sure finances were ok for the family.

With that said, I thought it was only best to wait till today when our boys are starting tour for the first time since everything went down. I'll be seeing you in Atlantic City (Hershey still on the fence) and wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy tour! EB will surfacing again shortly, though in some slightly new formats and I'm looking forward to sharing the music and conversations with you again!

Till then, have a great opener tonight and let's get the show on the road! Photo via Saw It Again Threads

It's been a minute since we caught up and I have some updates to provide in the world of EB as I finally get to return to campus and studios soon...but wanted to untap the mute button to send heavy thoughts and wishes to the Van Halen family. 2020 continues, but let's hope the light starts to shine again...

Need music collection addiction help: Used to have a music library with thousands of CDs in the basement. Then the house fire happened in 2017. They’ve been boxed up never open & taking up space since. Want to expand my workshop, but struggling to let go to make room. Everything is digitally archived, all new music submissions are digital, and all audio in the house and vehicles is via streaming. Thoughts?

Server is finally fixed for those who've been asking so the feed is back up and running for the older podcasts. EB has been practicing social distancing from producing new shows mainly because not allowed access to the campus studio. Been taking this time off to hit the reset button and focus on the brewery operations. EB is coming back just like all the bands we love. Hang in there and stay healthy! Cheers! Jay

What's up EB Peeps! I know it's been a while, but I'm still locked out of the studio. Hoping to change that soon after the holiday weekend. However, here's a different creation we've been working on since the break. Consider this a EB sponsored by ad :) - Hope everyone is safe and doing well and catch up soon! Miss you!

Sue & Trey’s “Between Me and My Mouth” Vegetarian Chili
Serves 4-6

Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion chopped
3 cloves garlic minced
1 carrot p*eled and chopped
1 celery stalk chopped
1 red pepper chopped
1 yellow pepper chopped
1 jalapeño diced, seeds removed
3 15 oz. cans diced tomatoes
2 15 oz. cans red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
2 15 oz. cans black beans, rinsed and drained
2 cups water
1 1/2 tablespoons cumin
2 tablespoons chili powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Shredded cheese (cheddar or jack)

Instructions
In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook until light brown, about 2-3 minutes. Add carrot, celery, peppers, and jalapeño Cook for five minutes, or until vegetables are soft.

Stir in diced tomatoes, beans, and water. Season chili with cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir and let chili simmer for 30 minutes. Stir chili frequently so it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan. Serve hot. Shred cheese on top. Serve with chips or cornbread. This chili also freezes beautifully.

Such a cool idea from Brownie and seeing all others starting to get in the mix!

Ok I haven’t slept in 5 days because my good friend Alicia Karlin and I have been creating a place for musicians to schedule online music lessons without the mess if scheduling nightmares, double bookings (I’ve had three!!!) the confusion of getting Venmo and sending out zoom links. Let’s face it, musicians aren’t always the most organized people ! But we did it and we Did it in 5 days!

Live Lesson Masters

Now you can book one on one online lessons with me, Aron Magner, DrFameus, Ryan Stasik, Joel Cummins Music, Robert Walter, Tom Hamilton, Holly Bowling, James Casey, Alana Rocklin , Danny Mayer, and so many more, yogis, and chefs and more, in a fully automated system!

We are hoping to provide a unique modern experience for fans that wasn’t easily accessible until now in our scene. We are being hit up by so many more artists asking to be on the platform, so keep checking back. This is meant to exist and keep existing even after this weird time ends.

Necessity is the mother of invention. We hope you like the site. We have worked literally non stop besides short breaks to eat, p*e, and nap, since we hatched this idea on Wednesday night as a solution to the incredible amount of work i found myself doing scheduling lessons.

Please peruse the site and enjoy your lessons with your fave rock stars (Umphreys Mcgee I assume?!?)

Van Morrison - Tupelo Honey

Saw this topic come up on twitter via (WXPN's Program Director) and thought it was a great distraction conversation. He asked what songs put you in a state of calm. Any genre. And i replied with Van Morrison's Tupelo Honey. Got calming chills listening back just now. LOVE that voice! Hope this helps and feel free to share your songs on this thread for others as we get through this

Enjoy.

Such an eerie feeling on campus today in what is most likely last visit for a while. I’m the lone soul in the building finalizing automation plans for the station. Will drop a new EB episode before I go. Be safe. We’re all in this together and we love to take a bath!

Yea, this is going to be nice...

This summer, Primus will pay homage to prog-rock legends RUSH with a "Tribute to Kings", a cross-country tour that will feature the iconic 'A Farewell to Kings' in its entirety. Special guests Wolfmother will be joining the tour, with The Sword and Battles opening select dates.

"A little over one year ago, Ler LaLonde and I started kicking the idea around of Primus performing a series of shows featuring an iconic Rush album from our youth," says bandleader Les Claypool.

"Being that 'A Farewell to Kings' was the first Rush record I ever heard, and that it contains my all-time favorite Rush tune, "Cygnus X1", the choice narrowed quickly.

Years ago, I had done something similar with Colonel Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, when we covered Pink Floyd Animals in its entirety. It was an insane amount of work, but ended up being one of the most enjoyable live endeavors I've ever done. Dubbing the tour 'Primus: A Tribute to Kings'; it was originally scheduled to be performed in the Fall of 2019, but when we were asked to support Slayer on their Final Campaign, the "Tribute to Kings" tour was postponed.

Geddy, Alex and Neil had been superheroes to Larry, Herb and I in our teens, so when we all became pals while touring together in the early 90's, we were pretty
delighted; partially because of the musical geek-out factor, but mostly because the three guys whom we had admired so much from afar, turned out to be truly great, down-to-earth humans, and like us, a tad eccentric.

The "Tribute to Kings" tour will be just as it is implied, a respectful and loving tribute to three spectacular musicians, songwriters, legends and friends"

A special pre-sale, including VIP upgrade options, will go on sale tomorrow, Wed, February 19 at 10am local time. General public on sale is this Friday, February 21 at 10am local time.
