Happy 11th Birthday to The Boom Room Studio!!! This is where it all began…do you recognize this space??

Some people who are newer to the Boom Room community don’t realize that 12 years ago this building was completely gutted and turned to an empty shell. We rehabbed and reconstructed floors, walls, and every other part of the building to transform it into the recording studio that you know and love today.

Did you know that all of the members of the Philly mega-band Soundsystem met at The Boom Room? (they still have their weekly rehearsals here too)

In 2012 DJs and were throwing dj party‘s around the city under the name Worldtown and met (boom room owner and drummer) it was a match made in heaven. At the time was hosting a weekly jam session called Boom Room Music Church with now Worldtown members .
