Before OUTWATCH Fest kicks off this Friday, we want to share how we’re keeping our spaces safe, affirming, and grounded in trust and transparency, especially in this tense time for our community.

Every event this weekend has been designed with one goal in mind: that everyone can show up fully as themselves, without fear or worry.

This week, LOOKOUT is publishing a new series spotlighting q***r Asian Arizonans who are helping reshape the state’s cultural landscape.

Through art, music, and food, these creators are defining what their identities mean to them — and to Arizona. Their work blends heritage and q***rness, memory and modernity, visibility and resistance.

For too long, the stories of Asian and q***r Arizonans have existed in the margins of the state’s broader narrative. This series aims to help change that.
We’re lifting up the voices of artists whose work is both deeply personal and powerfully communal.

We're highlighting , , and , who are all reframing what it means to tell stories in a place that hasn’t always seen them.

Kick off OUTWATCH Fest with A YEAR IN REVIEW, an important town hall that brings together community leaders to break down the past year in Arizona — the laws that have passed, the harms and the successes that have impacted our communities in education, health, policy, and business.

Hear directly from those doing the work, including , , , , , . We’re also incredibly excited to welcome to our lineup of panelists!

Afterwards, hit up for the CHROME Party put on by for a night of historic leather dancing and partying.

Big thanks to .health and for making this event accessible, as well as , , and for championing community events that make these kinds of conversations possible.

OUTWATCH Fest is only three weeks away, and this year’s lineup will make you wish it never ended. Three days of q***r joy, music, movement, connection, and purpose are about to take over Phoenix.

November 7: We’re kicking off with a town hall where local leaders, organizers, and elected officials are showing up for you. Bring your questions, learn who’s standing up for our community, and get involved with the groups shaping Arizona’s q***r future. When the conversations end, the party starts. ’s Chrome party at Pat O’s Bunkhouse is hosting the afterparty for a night honoring q***r kink and leather history. Flash your OUTWATCH pamphlet at the door!

November 8: We’re taking it outside for a full day of play. Join the community kickball game with our friends from the 69-ers, the team LOOKOUT proudly sponsors. Come ready to run, laugh, and sweat, or join in on other field games if kicking balls isn’t your thing. Afterward, we’ll feed you at a community picnic and screen a movie that will remind you why being together matters. Then the night continues at the .phx Fruity Market, the official Saturday afterparty that always sells out.

November 9: Close the weekend at .records for a daytime soiree with DJs from D.C. spinning tracks that will have you dancing until sunset. The vibe is pure celebration. Tickets are only $10 until October 31, and they’re going fast.

This festival is almost entirely free thanks to our sponsrs .health , , , , and . These organizations make events like this possible and remind us what real community support looks like.

If you miss OUTWATCH, you’ll hear about it from everyone else. Don’t be the one wishing you went.

**We’ve removed an earlier post that explained our statement on our Summer of Solutions event tonight, standing by the need for tough and often divisive topics. That post resulted in our panelists receiving violent harassing messages, and them having to pull events from future spaces because of other threats.

Instead of the planned event tonight, we are hosting a community conversation around restoring trust and how to have these kinds of conversations in the future. We’ll talk about what kind of events you want in the realm of kink and safety, the needs and wants of your spaces, what resources you feel are missing, and what we as LOOKOUT can do moving forward with this conversation. We hope to see you there in rebuilding this conversation from the ground up and with more community input.
