Last oneBURGH day on Hilton Head Island. Lots of rain and wind this week. Lots of drinks and grits. We ran into all of your old neighbors and teachers. They’re all here. It’s like “Cocoon 3.” 😂

1/4 of the Yinzer Beach Cube ™️ is complete. Next stop - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Yinzer ONLY vacation in 4 places…we’re visiting them all.

oneBURGH Goodbye: SportNet Pittsburgh (KBL) has fired Hailey Hunter from her role as Pittsburgh Penguins rinkside reporter.

She spent 3 seasons covering the team.

She told The Trib: “Unfortunately, I was told the Penguins have decided that they simply wanted to move in a different direction with the role.”

What would be a different direction? Ugly, heavy bald man that knows nothing about hockey?

We like Hailey’s work. Very professional and also fun. Booo Penguins.

oneBURGH Ban: Penn Township Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to ban e-bikes and e-scooters from paths, trails, and open spaces within the Municipal Park Complex after complaints about safety issues and reckless riding.

Ok, yeah. Standing ovation. Add an e-bike with an X through it onto the Great Seal of Penn Township next to the corn. 😂 Whoa, is that a double barrel shotgun? A 6-ft long arrow? Penn Township is tough.

Anyway, this was fantastic. You can’t regulate jagoff-ery so you have to take it away from everyone.

Harrisburg wants to solve the e-bike problem with a statewide class system. There is proposed legislation that would formally organize e-bikes into Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 categories.

Huh?

Pedal assist. Throttle assist. 750 watts. 20 mph. 28 mph. 🤯

The average person has no idea what any of these classes mean. The park employee doesn’t know. The person getting buzzed by an electric missile doing 25 mph doesn’t care. They just know something almost hit them.

Parks don’t exist to become the qualifying rounds for the Electric Daytona 500.

We’ve successfully created a regulatory framework so complicated it requires a flow chart to understand, all to solve a problem that could have been explained in six words: Don’t drive your electric bike like an idiot. (8)

Penn Township looked at the situation and chose the simplest solution. 👏

oneBURGH writer Avery didn’t come on vacation with us to the Yinzer Beach Cube ™️ (Hilton Head this week! 🌞 ), she stayed home in Pittsburgh to attend the Oddities Show at the convention center.

Looks like a great place to buy weird things floating in glass jars. And for the Pittsburgher that has everything, a raccoon drinking a beer and holding a heater. Mother’s Day?

She bought a painting and they threw in a pair of cat testicles for free. 🐱 ⚽️ ⚽️
