It’s a bittersweet day at WMPG - our work-study student, Ava, is graduating, and today is her last day with us.
It’s hard to put into words how much positive energy Ava has brought to WMPG. She’s always jumped at any opportunity, from working with us on screenings of An Extraordinary Place to collaborating on community events, events at USM, outreach and everything in between. You’ve heard her voice on promos, seen her in videos across our socials, and admired her artwork on our chalkboard.
Thank you, Ava, for all the hard work, reliability, and positivity you’ve brought to our radio station. It’s been a pleasure having you with us.
While we’re excited to see where her path leads, we’re really going to miss having her around the station. The good news? She’ll be back! Now that she has a bit more time, you’ll hear her subbing on the WMPG airwaves.
