MAY RAINFALL TOTALS: So how did we do for the month of May in the way of water? Well, not every city is listed here because not every site has complete 30 year rain data. This is a decent sampling though of how we did across Utah, it was a case of the haves and have nots.

BREAKING: Utah Senate President J. Stuart Adams is formally urging celebrity investor Kevin O’Leary to scale down the proposed Box Elder County AI data center footprint from 40,000 acres to roughly 10,000 acres. This drastic 75% reduction in size comes amid intense local concerns over water usage, power consumption, and environmental impacts on the Great Salt Lake.

What’s your thoughts?

TRENDING WETTER: We've seen a westward shift in the bullseye of this storm system in the last 24 hours, that's the shift we were hoping for! SW Wyoming will be the big winner, but healthy rain still in the cards for northern Utah. Here's the break-down:

FRIDAY: Pop-up showers and t-storms this afternoon in southern/central Utah. Some showers could work their way into the southern Wasatch Front late afternoon/evening.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Rain showers start filling in along the Wasatch Front, especially after midnight.

SATURDAY MORNING: Rain showers likely along the Wasatch Front, afternoon looks dry but the potential for some pop-up showers still exists.

FRIDAY PM - SATURDAY TOTALS:
SW Wyoming: .50-1.00" (locally 1.25" possible)
Wasatch Front: .20-.50" (locally .75"+ possible)
Central Utah: .10-.25" (locally .50" possible)
Uinta Basin/Castle Country: .05-.30"
Southern Utah: .00-.10"+
Northern Mountains above 9.5k feet 2-5" (locally more)
