Just finished this clamshell enclosure for a client. I've written more about it and my process on my website. Check it out!

A custom box made for a treasured family book. Focusing on protection and longevity, this technique allows the family to pursue conservation in the future while preserving it in it's current state, stopping degradation from outside elements.

Hard to believe it’s been 6 years since this project. Admittedly, it was VERY ambitious to take it on, but the client was beyond happy with the result 🤩

Playing with some edge gilding. I’ve had this foil for a long time and it’s always been a favorite - we finally get to see the oil-spill patter fully 😊

I’m happy to finally share this one. I made this book a few months ago for my client’s upcoming proposal in Venice. While we had a very short timeline, the book was finished on time and delivered before their departure.

It was a great project and a fun challenge for me to work quickly and make a very nice book for them.

Princess Mononoke Journal

This is a custom journal I made about 2-years ago but only now getting around to posting about it. Veg-tanned sheepskin leather with “Saddle Tan” (Red) Antique Gel from with Eco-Flo dye for the detail coloring. Both the front and back cover designs are cuir-ciselé carvings from hand drawn originals.

I made this for my daughter who, at the time, LOVED watching this film with me. I now use it as a travel journal and all the entries are addressed to her; hoping that one day she’ll read it and enjoy the adventures we went on during her childhood.

Deathfire: Into the Ruinstorm, by Nick Kyme
Custom Leather rebinding, paperback conversion

This was incredibly fun to work on and the client is extremely happy with the result. We used the original front cover as an inlay to preserve what my client loved about it to begin with. It’ll now last a lifetime!
