Most Catholics believe the Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life.
The harder question is whether we live like it.
The saints who were transformed by the Eucharist did not see it as a weekly obligation or a familiar routine. They approached it as a real encounter with Christ—and allowed that encounter to shape everything that followed.
The Eucharist is not meant to remain inside the walls of a church. It is meant to transform the way we work, pray, serve, forgive, and love.
St. John Vianney understood this deeply. His reflections on the Eucharist continue to challenge us to move beyond familiarity and rediscover the wonder of Christ truly present.
