Most Catholics believe the Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life.

The harder question is whether we live like it.

The saints who were transformed by the Eucharist did not see it as a weekly obligation or a familiar routine. They approached it as a real encounter with Christ—and allowed that encounter to shape everything that followed.

The Eucharist is not meant to remain inside the walls of a church. It is meant to transform the way we work, pray, serve, forgive, and love.

St. John Vianney understood this deeply. His reflections on the Eucharist continue to challenge us to move beyond familiarity and rediscover the wonder of Christ truly present.

Today the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity— the mystery at the heart of the Catholic faith.

One God in three divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

As St. Josemaría reminds us, the Church herself draws her unity from the unity of the Trinity. The Church is not merely an institution or community built on shared ideas, but a people gathered into the very life of God.

Every sacrament, every prayer, and every act of Catholic life flows from this mystery and leads us back to it.

3 Quotes from St. Philip Neri to live by:

1. “To convert somebody, go and take them by the hand, and guide them.”
2. “A servant of God ought always to be in good spirits. Charity and cheerfulness, or charity and humility, should be our motto.”
3. “In dealing with our neighbor, we must assume as much pleasantness of manner as we can, and by this affability will win him to the way of virtue.”

St. Philip Neri understood that holiness is not meant to make us harsh, anxious, or withdrawn. Again and again, his words point back to something deeply Christian: charity, cheerfulness, humility, patience, and genuine care for others.

His wisdom remains strikingly practical because it speaks directly to ordinary life— to friendship, conversation, community, and the way we treat the people around us every day.

Coached by Philip Neri: Lessons in Joy brings that wisdom into the present, showing why joy is not superficial to the Christian life, but essential to it.

In a world marked by anxiety, cynicism, and exhaustion, a joyful Christian is quietly radical.

You don't have to have it all together. You don't have to pretend life is easy. You just have to be someone who, in the middle of real life, still believes it's good — because God is good, and he is in it with you. While happiness rises and falls with circumstances, Christian joy goes deeper. It remains rooted in the conviction that life has meaning, that God is present, and that suffering is not the end of the story.

That's the witness of Philip Neri. That's the witness of every saint who laughed, loved, and trusted in the middle of an imperfect world. And it can be yours too.

Today the Church celebrates St. Philip Neri, a saint remembered not only for his holiness, but for his joy.

Philip understood something many people forget: joy is not superficial, and it is not naïve. It is the fruit of a life deeply rooted in God.

In a world that often mistakes seriousness for holiness, Philip reminds us that sanctity can be warm, approachable, and deeply human.

His life drew people in not through force or fear, but through charity, humility, and genuine joy.

Coached by Philip Neri: Lessons in Joy brings his wisdom into ordinary life— showing how joy can become a real path to holiness.

Today the Church celebrates Pentecost: the descent of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church.

The Apostles who once hid in fear are sent out with conviction, clarity, and courage. Not because their circumstances suddenly became easy, but because they were no longer relying on themselves alone.

Pentecost reminds us that Christianity is not sustained by personality, talent, or human strength. It is sustained by the life of God at work within ordinary people.

The same Holy Spirit given at Pentecost is still active now... strengthening, guiding, and transforming the Church from within.

Come, Holy Spirit!

There’s a lot said about the challenges facing the Church but there’s something else happening too.

In this conversation, author of The Busy Parent’s Guide to the Catholic Faith Steven Hemler points to a real sign of hope:
a growing hunger for meaning, purpose, and truth—especially among the next generation.

People are asking deeper questions:
Why am I here? What will actually make me happy? How do I know God’s will?

And those questions deserve clear, thoughtful answers.

The Busy Parent’s Guide to the Catholic Faith: Short Answers to the Big Questions is written for exactly this— to help you respond with confidence, clarity, and real understanding.

Why does prayer time often feel so distracted? Why does the mind wander precisely when we’re trying to be attentive to God?

In The Fire and the Silence, Fr. John Henry Hanson, O. Praem. explores the interior battle that so many people experience in prayer— not with quick fixes, but with clarity, wisdom, and deep realism about the spiritual life.

Drawing from Scripture, the saints, the Desert Fathers, and modern psychology, this book offers a thoughtful guide to distraction, attention, and the search for inner stillness in a noisy world.

We want our faith to last in our homes, in our families, and in the next generation. But how does that actually happen?

A Treasure for the Church speaks to that question in a direct, practical way. In this book, Madonna M. Murphy gathers St. Josemaría’s conversations with parents, educators, and young people— offering clear insight into how faith is formed through daily life, not just taught.

Today the Church celebrates the Ascension of Our Lord. Forty days after the Resurrection, Christ returns to the Father.

The Ascension marks a turning point. What the Apostles once saw with their eyes, they now live by faith.

Christ is no longer present in one place— He is present to all, and He remains with us in a deep way.

This feast is both a reminder and a promise: where He has gone, we are called to follow.
