Michigan stunned Western Michigan, 13–12, on a last-second Hail Mary, but the ending has sparked controversy.

Western Michigan appeared to have won when the clock hit 0:00, only for officials to put one second back on the clock.

Michigan got another shot, and Bryce Underwood connected with J.J. Buchanan for the game-winning touchdown.

Was that one second legitimate, or did Michigan get an extra chance it shouldn’t have had?

St. Louis Cardinals manager Oli Marmol was ejected Friday, Sept. 4, during a 7-6 comeback win over the Colorado Rockies.

The controversy started when home-plate umpire Doug Eddings told rookie pitcher Hancel Rincón, making his MLB debut, to straighten his tilted hat.

Marmol took issue with the intervention, calling it embarrassing and saying the rookie was being distracted during his debut.

The confrontation escalated, and Marmol was ejected.

Rincón then gave up an inside-the-park home run, and Marmol continued arguing with Eddings.

But the Cardinals had the last laugh: Iván Herrera hit a three-run homer in the ninth to complete a 7-6 comeback.

Was this really about a hat?
