Rock and roll has lost one of its most iconic figures.
Ace Frehley, the original lead guitarist and founding member of KISS, has died at age 74.
According to family statements, Frehley passed away on Oct. 16, in Morristown, New Jersey, following complications from a fall at his home that caused a brain bleed.
The legendary “Spaceman” was surrounded by loved ones.
Frehley’s electrifying solos, signature silver-star makeup, and larger-than-life stage presence helped define an era of rock music that inspired generations of guitarists.
He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014 as a member of KISS.
Fans around the world are paying tribute to the man whose riffs helped launch one of rock’s most recognizable bands.
Rest in peace, Spaceman. 1951–2025.
