Just wrapped a first ride with Airoh’s upcoming adventure helmet — a more budget‑friendly sibling to the Commander 2 that’s headed for the U.S. This new model still features the drop-down sun visor, large goggle‑friendly eyeport, plush interior, Pinlock‑ready anti‑fog visor, quiet wind‑tunnel‑shaped profile, and full ECE certification, but with a thermoplastic shell instead of carbon composite. Airoh also trims the shell count from three sizes to two, swaps the D‑ring closure for a ratcheting buckle, and adds an extra top vent for more airflow. Even with the material change, it’s just 200g (.4 lbs) heavier than the Commander 2. The biggest difference though is the entry-level price, starting at $269. The new lid doesn't have an official name yet here in the States, but you can expect to see it on shelves at your local motorcycle shop in the next few months. We'll report back with more details once we give it a proper test, but early impressions are promising!
