TONIGHT! Tyler Legacy vs no 1. Tomball (LINK IN COMMENTS) This weekend, the Red Raiders have a chance to do something the program has never done before: punch their ticket to the state semifinals.

has been making a serious postseason run, and tonight they face the no. 1 team in the nation, Tomball. This is their first time to the regional finals since 2010.

To get there, they’ll have to take down Tomball, the No. 1 ranked team in the nation and the same team that ended Legacy’s season last year. No pressure, right?

But if there’s one thing this Legacy team has proven, it’s that they don’t quit. They’ve battled through extra-inning games, walk-off wins, and comeback series victories to get here.

For new Tylerites, welcome to the jungle! This is one of those moments that shows what local pride looks like around here. High school sports are a big part of East Texas culture, and when a team makes a run like this, the whole community feels it.

Game 1 is Thursday at 7 PM in Waco, with Game 2 on Friday and Game 3, if needed, on Saturday. LINK IN COMMENTS

Tyler State Park features a cool, 64-acre spring-fed lake, 100-foot tall trees, and historic structures. Play at the lake, wet a hook, wander through the woods, or relax with your binoculars. You will love this peaceful get-away in Northeast Texas!

Things to Do:

At Tyler State Park, you can boat, fish, swim in the lake, hike, mountain bike, picnic, camp, bird watch and study nature. Whether you visit for an afternoon or a weekend, you will find plenty to do here.

Explore:

Experience the Pineywoods on more than 13 miles of trails. Don’t miss the Whispering Pines Nature Trail, laid out more than 85 years ago by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Take a virtual tour with our Interactive Trails Map.

Fish:

Anglers try for crappie, perch, catfish or bass in our lake. The park has one fishing pier and a boat ramp. We also loan fishing rods, reels and tackle boxes as part of TPWD’s Tackle Loaner Program. Remember, you do not need a fishing license to fish from shore in a state park!

You can rent a boat here or bring your own. We allow motors, but have a 5 mph speed limit.
