Wichita City Council spends almost 5 hours talking bad landlords, tenant concerns
The council deferred the largest item, including the adoption of international maintenance codes. The city will convey a task force to engage with stakeholders and make refinements by December 9.
The incident happened around 10 a.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of N. Broadway. Wichita Police say two men got into a fight and a 39-year-old man stabbed the victim in the back. A suspect was arrested.

Officials investigating early morning fire in Wichita as possible arson case
It happened around 5 a.m. Sunday, in the 1200 block of S. Pershing, near Harry and Lincoln. Units put out the fire on two floors of the structure. Everyone got out safely and no injuries were reported.

UPDATE: Man dead in south Wichita collision; one arrested
The investigation into what led up to the crash kept 42nd Street blocked off for several hours. If you have information about the crash, you’re asked to call the WPD traffic unit at 316-350-3687.
