This Ficus salicifolia wasn’t really ready for a repot however last repot I used 100% akadama and the tree didn’t respond to well to it. With ficus repotting time coming to a swift end I decided to repot, not to aggressively and put it into 50/50 akadama and pumice. I also never tied the tree in before so this time I made sure she was secured properly not dodgey badger style.

Just finished setting up the Holman WX8 8-Station Wi-Fi Irrigation Controller for my bonsai garden! 🌿💧
It gives me peace of mind knowing each tree will get adequate water, especially during the summer period (IYKYK). Being able to control and monitor everything straight from my phone will make looking after my trees so much easier with my busy schedule.

Really excited to see how much easier this will make keeping the garden healthy. Stay tuned, I’ll be sharing a full setup and walkthrough soon so you can see it all in action!

My first time at the plant collectors fair was bloody fantastic. Ran into a bunch of plant crazy mates. Spent all my money and made Nate wheel my plants back to my car!

Can’t wait for next year!
