We kept hope alive and hope kept us alive - Gaolathe

"People said our late leader Gomolemo Motswaledi's death was the end. When there was strife and discord in 2017, they said the new Botswana could not possibly happen, they said it was just a dream. When I lost elections in 2019 they said it was all over. But there was a yearning and longing for a new beginning, a new Botswana. The odds were against us decades ago, it didn't sound possible but we kept hope alive and hope kept us alive. The cynics, skeptics, and unbelievers said it was not possible and has never been done. The time came for us to take down the barrier before us and we did," AP President Ndaba Gaolathe at the ongoing AP Congress in Serowe.

They doudted us, said we were not normal - Mmolotsi

"This journey was rough and full of obstacles. Some people thought I was not normal as the only AP member in the 12th Parliament. BDP members thought e nngwe e tlhagile. They doudted us, they even thought we were not normal . After being hit hard by the 2024 General Elections they realised we were the normal ones all along and they are the ones who are abnormal," AP vice president Wynter Mmolotsi speaking at the ongoing AP Congress in Serowe today.

They cursed me, but they were blessing me - Boko

"I was once labelled president of Facebook. I was cursed but I got blessed. They used to call me that as a joke. I was cursed, little did they know that they are blessing me even by my own father, who first 'cursed' me by telling that I will be the president," President Duma Boko at the ongoing BNF congress in Palapye.
