AFCON UPDATE: Senegal outclassed Botswana in the TotalEnergiesAFCON2025 opener with a 3-0 scoreline at Grand de Stade de Tanger stadium. A brace by Nicolas Jackson and last minute strike by Pape Ndiaye buried The Zebras.
Botswana and Benin are seating at the bottom of Group D with Senegal and DR Congo leading the group by three points each.

: A group of club owners and music festival organisers have grouped themselves and filed an urgent application to interdict the Ministry of Trade and Entrepreneurship from implementing changes to the liquor trading hours during the festive season.

According to court papers seen by Mmegi, the group say the Ministry’s decision is “a radical change to trading hours through temporary regulations, published during the holiday season with minimal notice, designed to take effect during the single most commercially significant period of the year for nightclubs.”
