, — Months after a complaint was filed, a vote-buying case involving Pagbilao Mayor Angelica Portes Tatlonghari has reached the Commission En Banc for action. Days before any notice was served, documents tied to the same case began circulating publicly across platforms at the local level.

The Commission on Elections on Tuesday said its Quezon Provincial Office has not received any directive to serve notice in the alleged vote-buying case. No subpoena or official communication reached the provincial office for delivery to the respondent as of Tuesday.

LakAd-LIKASAN 2026 returns in Mauban to boost environmental action

, — 2026 returns in Mauban, Quezon as the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office schedules the activity on April 22, 2026. Set under the theme “Sapagkat Aking Pananagutan, Pangangalaga sa Kalikasan,” the initiative encourages community participation in protecting the environment.

DSWD rolls out cash aid for Lucena tricycle drivers

, - for tricycle drivers across CALABARZON is underway in several cities under a regional rollout on April 8. A total of 24,616 drivers from 13 pilot areas are included in the first phase led by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

In Lucena City, Quezon, 2,113 Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations (TODA) drivers received P5,000 each at the New Evacuation Center in Barangay Mayao Crossing. The assistance is part of the national government response to rising fuel prices affecting drivers’ earnings.
