QPPO emphasizes collaborative strategy, digital preparedness in fight against crime

, – Officials from the Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) emphasized that while they have intensified efforts to lower crime rates, their effectiveness depends on a strong collaborative strategy with partner agencies and the community. During the " Quezon" forum on September 17, 2025 at Camp BGen Guillermo Nakar, they also stressed the need for officers to be better equipped with the digital knowledge and skills required to solve increasingly high-tech and cyber-related crimes.

To address the evolving landscape of criminal activities, QPPO officials highlighted a proactive approach that includes enhancing the force's digital capabilities. They emphasized that as criminals increasingly operate in online spaces, from financial scams and identity theft to online harassment and data breaches, law enforcement must keep pace.

DA-PRDP initiative empowers residents in

, — Community leaders in seven barangays across Catanauan, Quezon, have completed a training program to monitor the construction of a 12.46-kilometer farm-to-market road. The initiative, led by the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP), aims to ensure project longevity and accountability by equipping residents to oversee the infrastructure.

The project, which includes two new bridges, will connect the barangays of Doongan Ilaya, Doongan Ibaba, Milagrosa, San Antonio Magcopa, San Roque, San Pablo Suha, and Sta. Maria Dao. The road is expected to benefit an estimated 2,810 farmers and fisherfolk and 685 households, improving the transport of agricultural products such as coconuts, bananas, and rice. The project was approved in August 2024 under the DA-PRDP’s Scale-Up program.

Infanta halts , cordoning off sites amidst violations

, – Operations for the Tanay Wind Power Project have recently come to a complete halt, following the discovery of numerous violations by the local government of Infanta. A formal Cease and Desist Order was issued, and a physical cordon was placed around the project sites of Alternergy Tanay Wind Corporation and its contractors, physically restricting all access.

The measure was carried out under the stern directive of Infanta Mayor LA Ruanto, with the Municipal Legal Office leading the enforcement alongside the Task Force Disiplina and other authorities. The formal order, signed by Administrator and OIC-Municipal Legal Officer Atty. Rinchel E. Aurellana, was officially served in-person to the involved companies.
