FOX CITIES Magazine

FOX CITIES Magazine Celebrating the Place We Call Home www.foxcitiesmagazine.com First printed as INSIDE THE FOX CITIES in 1984, FOX CITIES Magazine has, with the support of the community, transformed from black & white tabloid format into a full-color, glossy-paged lifestyle publication.

Anticipated for its respected & sometimes unexpected views of the place we called home, FOX CITIES Magazine is committed to sharing the experience of life in northeast Wisconsin... the arts... culture... dining... people... local history... homes... health & wellness.... and, the all important, "WHAT'S GOING ON!" Our specialty publications include the annual DINING GUIDE, your comprehensive resource to eating establishments throughout the Fox Cities. Over the years, we have produced custom pieces for community organizations & nonprofits. We are proud to have been selected to produce OVATION - the official program book of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. Look to us for "the word" on arts events, exhibits, new restaurants & everything that makes the FOX CITIES a great place to call home.

Mission: A family of quality publications celebrating the place we call home.

Town Council Kitchen and Bar

Town Council Kitchen and Bar will be closed indefinitely due to COVID-19. Our local restaurants are taking a beating during the pandemic. If you have the means, consider supporting them and all local businesses during this time.

Dear Patrons,
Coronavirus cases are rising in the Fox Valley and Town Council Kitchen and Bar has had its first employee test positive for the virus. The rest of the staff is healthy and quarantining at home. Out of an abundance of caution, however, we are obligated to postpone service while we self-monitor and/or get tested. The case came from outside our work circle and we feel confident that our risk for exposure is low given the precautions we take at work. Again, we all feel healthy, but given the circumstances we must take prudent measures to ensure a healthy work and dining environment. We hope you understand and we apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any concerns, please contact us at 920-558-3500 or [email protected].

It is clear we are entering a paradigm in which it is likely that we will be subjected to random and unforeseen closures as events like this continue to play out. Operating such a tiny restaurant has been a losing game since March. As owner, for the last six months I have done everything I can to retain and pay staff as well as continue to make great food. Despite the steps I have taken to ensure safety and keep the business running, the restaurant’s fate is out of my hands in this situation. This is a reality that I can no longer tolerate. Starting and stopping service for a week to two weeks while retaining staff is incredibly costly and currently unsustainable. In addition, given the trend in Coronavirus cases, I feel we simply can not operate in good conscience. All things considered it seems the most prudent move is to close the restaurant indefinitely.

I hope we were able to bring you all a little bit of joy and normalcy during these unprecedented times. This has been a challenge that we did not ask for, but accepted head on for as long as we could. I’m very grateful for the loyalty of my staff and the support from our guests. We hope for clarity sooner rather than later, but there is no crystal ball for this situation. At this time it feels as though the best course of action is to remain patient and preserve the business for a better day.

Kind regards,
Jon and staff
