We love our food community! Way to be a shining example, the wandering table! 👏
💥important message about something that’s been weighing on our hearts lately, especially after our recent fundraiser for aasd :
we know times are tough right now for a lot of people. with the government shutdown putting snap benefits on hold, even more families will be wondering when they are going to eat again, or how they are going to feed their kiddos.
no one should ever have to worry about when they will eat again — especially children. so starting now, we will have 2 options available, free of charge, no questions asked, for anyone who is in need :
• a hot meal : come to the truck anytime we are out at a public event and ask for the “community meal” — this will be your choice of a cheeseburger or grilled cheese with a side of fries.
• a take home meal : this will contain all cold, non-perishable items — could be perfect for a kids lunch!
so if you are struggling, a friend or family member is struggling, or your neighbor needs a little extra help, please come see us! and if you need a meal on a day we are not out, send us a message. you can pick up a take home meal from our kitchen, anytime we are there.
and if you are in the position to help sponsor a meal, please let us know. every dollar donated will go directly toward feeding kiddos and families in need, and every item donated will go to a local shelter or food pantry. we just want to do a small part to making everyone in our community feel a little love 🫶🏼
