Senior Living Leaders & Activity Directors —
I am the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, and I share their story so these voices are never lost.
In this short clip, filmed as part of Steven Spielberg’s Shoah Foundation, my grandmother recounts surviving the Holocaust as a young girl in Vladimir (Ludmir), Poland.
When asked why she believes she survived, her answer is simple and profound: kindness.
Their story is one of resilience and faith in G‑d.
As their granddaughter, I carry this story as both a responsibility and a privilege—to remember, to honor, and to share.
I have recently begun sharing my grandparents’ journey—from Holocaust survival to building a life and legacy in America—through in‑person storytelling created especially for independent living, assisted living, and 55+ communities.
These conversations create meaningful moments of reflection and connection for residents, families, and staff.

Yesterday was truly a blessing.

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, I was honored to share my grandparents’ journey and their video testimony from Steven Spielberg’s Shoah Foundation project — a project created to preserve the voices of Holocaust survivors for generations to come.

I was grateful to be invited to speak at two assisted living communities here in Delray Beach. Every time I share their voices, their courage, their strength, and their resilience, I’m reminded of how powerful remembrance can be.

A heartfelt thank‑you to Paris and Grand Villa Senior Living Community for hosting such a meaningful program. It was a pleasure to be with your residents.

And a special thank‑you to Eleanor, who shared with me how deeply the presentation touched her. Moments like that remind me why I continue to tell my grandparents’ story — so their legacy continues to inspire others.
