Burn Ban Reminder – City of Conway 🔥🚨

The Conway Fire Department would like to remind everyone that the outdoor burn ban remains in effect within the City of Conway until further notice.

That means no outdoor open burning inside city limits.

We know cooler evenings make a backyard fire sound like the perfect plan. Right now, dry conditions and shifting winds can turn a small flame into a big problem faster than you can say “who called 911?”

🚫 No yard debris burning
🚫 No open burning

We ask for your cooperation to help prevent brush fires and protect homes, businesses, and our community.

If you see smoke or an unsafe fire, please report it.
If you were thinking about lighting one up… please don’t.

🚰Temporary Water Disinfectant Change in March

Grand Strand Water and Sewer Authority (the supplier of the City of Conway’s water) will be performing its annual chlorine conversion during the month of March. During this time, they will temporarily switch the drinking water disinfectant from chloramines to free chlorine.
This is a routine, once-a-year process used to help maintain water quality throughout the system.
Most customers will not notice a difference, but some may experience a temporary chlorine taste or odor.

Let’s turn spooky season into sustainable season! 🕸️✨
Drop off your gently used costumes to 2940 Jerry Barnhill Blvd Hospitality and Beautification building (far left building) to help Keep Conway Beautiful — one costume at a time. 💚
