The voting is in for Week 1 Ellis County Players of the Week!

Girls: Samantha Taylor, Sr., Red Oak volleyball

Taylor recorded a triple double — 17 kills, 31 digs, and 13 assists — in a match against Prosper Richland on Sept. 2. On the year, Taylor has 193 kills, 77 blocks, 203 digs and 261 assists for the 20-9, 2-0 Lady Hawks.

Boys: Eric Cisneros, Sr., Palmer football

Cisneros finished the game with 273 rushing yards and four touchdowns in a 45-38 victory against Grand Saline on Sept. 5. The Bulldogs, who are now 3-0 on the year, are ranked No. 9 in Class 3A Division I by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.
