We're excited to welcome new leadership!

Maximilian “Max” Duke has been selected as the next president and CEO of Pennon, the parent organization of WITF, Pennon Education and Media Solutions, effective July 20, 2026.

Max brings more than 25 years of public media experience to the role, most recently serving as vice president of station strategy and development at PBS. As he begins this new chapter, Max has shared that one of his first priorities will be listening and learning from the communities we serve. In the months ahead, he looks forward to meeting with his new Central Pennsylvania neighbors and understanding how we can continue to make a positive impact in the communities we serve.

Please join us in welcoming Max!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and Creative Director, Mitch Mathias.

Mitch recently celebrated his 20th anniversary at WITF, where he started as a video editor. He created and managed high-quality video productions, with two of his documentaries winning Mid-Atlantic Emmys.

Aside from his professional accomplishments, he was a great leader, mentor and friend.

Mitch will be dearly missed by our team, and we send our deepest condolences to his family and those who knew him.
