After 22 years we have decided to bring the show to a close. Our last episode will be Wednesday, March 1st. While we’re sad to say goodbye, we have come to the decision that it’s time to move on to other things.

It’s been an amazing run and we are truly grateful for the opportunity we have had over the years to share our enthusiasm for technology with the City of Houston here on KPFT and to the world via the live stream and podcast.

We’ll be having one last geek gathering on March 3rd so keep an eye out for that announcement.

We invite you to tune in to the final shows. You’re especially welcome to call in and share your memories of Technology Bytes over the years.

KPFT Pledge Form

As you may or may not know, the radio station that hosts the show is 90.1 FM KPFT Houston which is a listener sponsored radio station. That mean we don't get any funding from advertisers. Almost all of the money we get to keep the station on the air comes from listeners like yourself. We are going into fundraising mode next week and could use your support. Please consider calling in on Wednesday and making a donation. You can also visit the KPFT Web site at any time and make a donation via the tip jar. We appreciate the support from our fans and encourage you to donate what you can to keep KPFT and Technology Bytes on the air.

DEFCON 22 Debrief Geek Gathering – Friday, August 14

Just a reminder that many of the hosts of Technology Bytes Radio will be attending DEFCON Hacking Conference this weekend. For this reason our monthly geek gathering KHON'S wine.darts.coffee.art is postponed to the second Friday in August. We plan to be recapping our adventures at the world's largest hacking convention with stories and fun new hacking hardware.

Most of the Technology Bytes crew will be making the annual pilgrimage to attend the DEFCON Hacking Conference in Las Vegas on the First Friday of August so we're pushing the local gathering to the...

KPFT launches Indiegogo campaign for new transmitter

KPFT needs a new Transmitter and you can help fund it through Indiegogo.

80% of the money for the new transmitter has been raised but we need help with the last 20% to make it happen.

Just $20k gets Pacifica station KPFT in Houston a shiny new solid state transmitter.
