We just submitted our proposal to present at the 2026 Wisconsin Peer Recovery Conference! 🎉💚

We are excited for the chance to share the work we are doing to lift peer voices, strengthen rural recovery communities, and build connection where resources are limited. Whether we are selected or not, we’re grateful for the opportunity and for all of you who continue to support this movement.

At Tarnation Tavern, we believe community means showing up for each other. ❤️

Starting Wednesday, November 5th, we’re opening our doors to help our neighbors who could use a good meal. For now, we’ll be doing this on Wednesdays — and we’ll keep it going as long as we’re able. 🍽️

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Families with proof of SNAP and a matching ID are welcome to join us. Kids can order from our kids’ menu, and adults can order from our regular menu — our treat.

Because sometimes we all need a little help, and that’s what community is for. 🤝

We are pleased to announce that we will once again be offering our FREE Thanksgiving dinner. We will have our donation bucket at the front till starting November 1st, with the goal of making this our most successful year yet. Let’s work together to support those in need. All proceeds will be given to local charities!

🏡 Housing Search Update

We want to keep everyone in the loop. We are still actively searching for a rental property to call home for our women and children in recovery.

We have been:
• Checking Facebook listings
• Contacting local landlords
• Calling rental companies
• Reaching out to realtors
• Following every lead we get

We’ve made some progress, but we haven’t found the right fit yet. And we know that sometimes the best opportunities come from someone who knows someone.

So we are asking for your help.
If you see a rental property that might work, please send it our way.
If you know a landlord who supports community work, please introduce us.
If you can share this post, please do.

Your share might be the one that finds the home where families rebuild their lives.
