Alhamdulillah! A Wonderful Beginning to Darul Iman's Boys Summer Camp
Salaam-o-Alaikum wa Rahmatullahay wa Barakatuh.
A heartfelt congratulations and a big appreciation to the entire Darul Iman Management Team and the administrators of the program, for the successful completion of the first day of the مجمع الأبرار – Darul Iman Boys Summer Camp.
The day began early with a plan to complete the activity during 6:00-9:00 am. The first activity was fishing, combined with valuable Islamic reminders, mentorship, and meaningful conversations. For many boys, it was their first time holding a fishing rod, yet by the end of the morning every child was smiling, learning, and enjoying the experience together. The excitement, teamwork, and brotherhood were inspiring to see.
As a parent, I can honestly say that my boys absolutely loved it. After returning home, they spent a long time sharing every detail of the morning with great excitement. They talked about every moment with passion and are already looking forward to the next session. That excitement alone shows the positive impact this program is having.
Programs like this are more than outdoor activities. They provide our youth with an opportunity to connect with the masjid, strengthen their relationship with Islam, build good character, develop practical life skills, and form lasting friendships in a healthy Islamic environment. When learning is combined with fun, our children naturally become more engaged with their Deen.
Yesterday, Sheikh Dr. Sajidullah Mahmood shared a powerful reminder in his Friday Sermon. He explained that as children enter their teenage years, it is natural for them to seek more independence from their parents. At that stage, they will naturally become closer to someone. As parents, we cannot stop that process, but we can help guide who they become close to. We can encourage them to spend time with righteous friends, caring mentors, and environments that bring them closer to Allah (SWT)—our Creator, whose mercy and love for us are beyond measure.
This summer camp is a beautiful example of creating that positive environment where our youth can grow in faith, confidence, responsibility, and brotherhood.
High five and sincere du'as to the entire Darul Iman team! May Allah (SWT) reward every team member and supporter for their dedication and accept this effort as a source of continuous reward (Sadaqah Jariyah). Ameen.

If you have boys between the ages of 12 and 20, I strongly encourage you to register them. It is a wonderful opportunity for them to spend their summer in a positive Islamic environment while building Deen, character, confidence, life skills, and lifelong friendships.
