Welcome to the Woodstock Roundtable. Conversational Improv with Host Doug Grunther, Woodstock Round Table Poet Laureate Victoria Sullivan, and Radio Woodstock Weekend Warrior Ron Van Warmer. Among Subjects for Conversation: Last Thursday was a major shock to the system of anyone interested in maintaining a Democracy. One presidential candidate literally looked white as a ghost and had trouble putting sentences together; the other had no problem putting sentences together--but most of them were bold-faced lies. We'll look at what one of the most thought-provoking and insightful political journalists had to say and we'll compare this debate debacle to one which occurred at the turn of the New Millennium. On a more positive note, one of the healthiest relationships we humans have is with our pets. We'll check out 3 articles which, one of which will likely bring smiles to our faces, another which reveals how canine and feline pets are often more emotionally intelligent than we are. We'll have Jazz from the Sultan of Sonic Soul Gus Mancini, and we'll open up the WR JUkebox and celebrate July 4 a bit early with some of the most EXPLOSIVE endings rock, jazz, and classical music.

Many adults love their pets so much that they call themselves pet 'parents' rather than 'owners.' They spoil their cats and dogs with gourmet pet food, professional grooming services and cute outfits,
