Lotus L. Kang wishes her work could be like a mood ring: adapting to the changing encounters of its viewers. Inspired by poetry, Kang uses her bespoke “translation-regurgitation” process to create installations with photographic and sculptural elements that include untreated industrial film, cast-aluminum anchovies, crying ceramic birds, and other media.
