SFWP: Twenty Years and Counting...

We are SFWP! The Santa Fe Writers Project, around since 1998, is a small press dedicated to uplifting the works of authors of all types. We are home to three imprints: 2040 Books, which only publishes people of color; Alan Squire Publishing, which publishes poetry, nonfiction, and fiction; and City Different Books, our newest children’s and YA press!

You can find us all over the country, but mostly in the DMV area. Want to know more? Check out the story of how we came to be, written by our fearless leader Andrew Gifford, in our twentieth anniversary series of the SFWP Quarterly (read parts 2, 3, and 4 here!) and don’t forget to read our latest issue!

We’d love to read your work, support your endeavors, and engage with you!So drop us a line, attend an event, or come see us at AWP!

Happy new year!
