Week one of the first ever Compost Crowd Food Drive and we’d estimate we collected over 1000lbs of food items!

Sedona came out big on Wednesday with 301.8lbs of food and heaps of paper products. Flagstaff did it a little differently, but still ended up have a huge volume at the end of the day! Will weigh all of it and get you the final weight soon!

What a chaotic but heartwarming couple of days on the routes! We are honored and humbled to be part of this Compost community with so many generous and caring humans! 🍲 🥫

Thank you to every single Crowd household that put food items out with your collection bucket!

Sedona, your pumpkin drop event is happening during the City’s Fall Fest Event on Saturday, November 8th from 1-4pm.

Bringing your pumpkins to this event to keep them out of the landfill is accessible to everyone—Crowd members and not-yet 😉 Crowd members in the community!

Carved and whole pumpkins are welcome, we just can’t accept 🎃 with paint/glitter or items glued to them.

Crowd, if your pumpkins don’t fit in your collection buckets, please bring them to this event, don’t leave them sitting loose outside your buckets, please 🙏

Flagstaff, mark your calendars for Monday, November 3rd from 4-6pm! 🎃
We will be at the Flagstaff Library for the Pumpkin Smash event (and an hour after it ends) to receive pumpkins from the community in an effort to keep them out of the landfill!

We welcome all pumpkins! Please note that painted, glittered, or glued-on decorations are not accepted..

The estimate is 1.3 BILLION pounds of pumpkins end up in the landfill following Halloween in the U.S. every year! 😱😈 That’s truly terrifying 🙀🤯

Let your friends, neighbors, coworkers, community groups, book club members —everyone—know that this is totally free to the public!

Crowd, friendly reminder⚠️ not to set loose pumpkins outside of your collection buckets⚠️. Either smash them into your buckets or bring them to this event.

After pilot testing three Mill bins since January, the City of Sedona liked them so much they approved the expansion of a campus-wide installation of Mill bins in their office buildings. Not only is the City the first in Northern Arizona to begin using these smart bins in office spaces and break rooms, they’re the first police department ever to utilize a Mill bin for composting!

We are stoked for this collaboration with and the , and look forward to working with more office spaces in Sedona and Flagstaff to make food scraps diversion more accessible and fun!
