All J&K Shia Association Organises Majlis-e-Aza at Balhama, Srinagar

Molvi Imran Reza Ansari Addresses Social Challenges, Sacrifice and the Importance of Unity

Balhama, Srinagar , September 6, 2026 :The All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association organised a Majlis-e-Aza at Balhama, Srinagar, where a large gathering of mourners and members of the community participated in the religious programme. The Marsiya commenced at 9:00 AM, followed by the Majlis.

At around 4:00 PM, President of the All J&K Shia Association, Molvi Imran Reza Ansari, addressed the gathering and spoke extensively about the life, teachings and character of Imam Ali (AS), highlighting his commitment to justice, knowledge, humanity and moral conduct.

In his address, Molvi Imran Reza Ansari also spoke about several social challenges confronting the Muslim community in Kashmir. He stressed that being a Muslim should be reflected not merely through religious identity but through one’s character and conduct. He said that a person’s behaviour should be such that others look towards Muslims as examples of honesty, morality and good character.

Speaking about the purpose of religious gatherings, he said that people must reflect upon what they learn from a Majlis and ask themselves whether those teachings are being implemented in their daily lives. The true purpose of a Majlis, he said, is to bring about a positive change within an individual.

Molvi Imran Reza Ansari expressed concern over the growing menace of drug abuse among the youth and called upon religious scholars and society as a whole to take collective responsibility. He said that when problems affect a family or a section of society, others cannot remain silent by thinking that the issue does not concern them. If society continues to think only about individual interests, meaningful change within the Muslim Ummah will remain difficult.

He stressed the need for unity among religious scholars, stating that they have a significant role to play in addressing social issues and contributing towards the betterment of society.

Addressing the misuse of mobile phones and technology among the younger generation, Molvi Imran Reza Ansari said that mobile phones can be powerful instruments for education and learning, but their misuse is increasingly affecting families and social relationships. He observed that families often sit together physically while remaining disconnected because everyone is occupied with their phones.

He called for rebuilding social interaction and strengthening family bonds, saying that meaningful change must begin with oneself and one’s family, before extending to neighbours, the Mohalla, the city and eventually the nation.

Drawing lessons from Karbala, he said that Imam Hussain (AS) stood firmly for Haq and truth despite immense sacrifices. He also referred to the struggles and sacrifices made for the protection and dignity of Islam and paid tribute to the martyrs. He particularly mentioned the sacrifices and steadfast leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, saying that his commitment and sacrifices have played a significant role in bringing about change and keeping the Iranian nation united during difficult times. Prayers were offered for the departed, including the martyrs of Iran and the victims of the Minab School tragedy.

The gathering concluded with prayers for peace, unity, moral reform and the betterment of society.

Molvi Imran Ansari Calls for Immediate Written Resolution of Medical Intern Stipend Issue

Srinagar | September 5, 2026: In continuation of his tweet dated August 31, 2026, JKPC General Secretary and President of the All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association, Molvi Imran Ansari, has once again raised the issue of MBBS and BDS medical interns in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that they are not asking for a favour but for fairness, dignity and fair support for the crucial services they provide to the healthcare system.

In his latest post on X, Molvi Imran Ansari said that in June 2023, GO No. 538-JK(HME) recommended raising the MBBS and BDS intern stipend from the stagnant 2019 rate of Rs 12,300 to Rs 25,000. He added that in February 2026, the government confirmed on the floor of the Legislative Assembly that the enhancement proposal was under active process.

“Seven months later, as our young doctors strike across medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir demanding parity with other states at Rs 30,000, the Health Minister has asked them to wait another 30 days without giving even a single line of written commitment,” Ansari said.

Questioning the government’s commitment to youth empowerment, Molvi Imran Ansari asked whether this was the dignity and youth empowerment promised so grandly in the election manifesto or merely another slogan forgotten after voting day.

“If the government genuinely cares, why does the Omar Abdullah government need an entire month to resolve this issue? A clear and time-bound process can be initiated immediately. The Chief Minister’s Office can issue the necessary directions, the matter can be expedited for financial concurrence, placed before the Cabinet for approval, and thereafter sent to the Lieutenant Governor for assent before the Government Order is issued,” he said.

Molvi Imran Ansari said there was no justification for continuing to keep young medical interns waiting while they work long and demanding hours on the frontline of Jammu and Kashmir’s healthcare system.

“Our medical interns are not asking for charity. They are asking for fairness. Stop stalling young doctors who work exhausting hours with verbal sympathy alone. Give them a clear, time-bound written commitment and notify the order without further delay,” he added.

JKPC General Secretary and President, All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association, Calls for Fair Treatment and Early Resolution of Medical Interns’ Stipend Issue

Srinagar | August 31, 2026: The General Secretary of the Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC) and President of the All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association has expressed serious concern over the ongoing issue concerning medical interns in Jammu and Kashmir and has urged the J&K Government to take immediate steps towards a fair and early resolution.

In a tweet addressed to the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir and Health Minister Sakina Itoo, he stated that medical interns in Jammu and Kashmir are not asking for a favour but are simply asking for fairness and recognition of the work they perform.

He said that young doctors, who represent the future of Jammu and Kashmir’s healthcare system, work under extremely demanding conditions and often undertake exhausting duties and shifts stretching up to 36 hours. Despite playing a crucial role in attending to patients and helping hospitals function effectively, their stipend remains considerably lower than that offered in several other parts of India for comparable responsibilities.

“The J&K Government must take this issue seriously, engage with the protesting medical interns and work towards an early and fair resolution,” he said.

Emphasising the importance of the medical profession, he said that those who dedicate their lives to healing and serving humanity deserve dignity, recognition and fair support.

Referring to the values of Islam, he noted that saving and serving humanity holds immense significance, recalling the Quranic teaching: “Whoever saves one life, it is as if he has saved all mankind.”

He reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir must support and encourage its young doctors, who will form the backbone of the region’s healthcare system in the years ahead, and urged the government to positively consider their genuine concerns and ensure that justice is done at the earliest.
