Our agricultural dump trailer is fully galvanized and features drop-down sides as well as removable front and rear gates, allowing for use as a flatbed. APM Pivot Vacuum Tank Brochure

At APM, our Sales Team has looked over the questions we get asked most often (aside from those about pricing) and thought that social media would be the best place to share our answers with the public.

The most asked question pertaining to our Pivot Vacuum Tank is:

“What is the benefit of the Pivoting Tongue?”

Traditional vacuum tanks have their pump or blower mounted on the tongue of the unit. When operating in a barn, tight turns require the operator to turn off the pump (disengage the PTO) to avoid damage, which results in losing vacuum power. The APM Pivot Tank, however, features a pivoting tongue and mounts the blower on the tractor’s 3-point hitch. This design allows operators to make sharp turns and maneuver around corners without disengaging the PTO, so vacuuming can continue uninterrupted. This makes the vacuum tank especially suitable for use in small or confined barns.

The most asked question pertaining to our Pump Tank is:
“How does this think work?”
“What are its advantages?”

Answer #1 – The operation of this Pump Tank has been equipped with a simple 3 Step Process for ease and time saving for the operator.
Step 1: From the cab of the tractor and a click of a button, using Wireless Remote-Control, the operator can simply lower the Boom+Turbo into a tank or lagoon and load the tank and never have to deal with bacterial covered hoses again. Once the tank has reached its maximum capacity, the operator retracts the hydraulic boom back into the top of the tank. By placing the pump back into the tank itself, the operator no longer worries about waste spillage on private or public roads, since all drainage will drain back into the tank.
Step 2: Once the boom is back in the tank the pump is now an agitator, which is used during transportation to eliminate solidification of the waste while on the way to the field or disposal location.
Step 3: As soon as the operator has reached the disposal location, with the push of a button, the operator opens the rear valve of the tank and closes the agitation valve and within seconds the operator can simply unload the tank straight out or fan spray over the fields.

Answer #2 - Advantages: Clean roads - The pump returns leaks to the tank after use, preventing spills on the road. No vacuum pump required - This saves money since vacuum pumps are costly, loud, and demand frequent maintenance. Boom + Turbo Filler System - This system is quiet, affordable, and requires little or no maintenance.
