What started off as a weekend of early season teething issues… mechanical dramas & operator error/upside down moments!🙃 we battled on & ended up with a pretty solid result on the final night, finishing just off the podium in 4th place after starting from position 12!

We had chalk & cheese track conditions over the weekend, going from juiced up & fast on the first night, to hard slick on night 2. Credit to B&S Earthworks Timmis Speedway Mildura for producing a ripper surface for the 50 lap feature on the final night. The track produced some close & hectic racing, multiple groves, plenty of sliders and a great race👍
Congrats to Tyson Martin Racing on the 10K payday, just a class above once again! 🏁👌

Final Night - Race Day! 🏁🎗️
What can we say… season opener things?! 🙈
Relatively happy to be sitting 19th on points overall after night 1 didn’t quite go to plan! 🤪

The cotton reel worked itself loose in the first heat, creating a huge vibration & destroying the uni on its way out. After thrashing to get the damage fixed (thanks for all your help & spare parts Joel & Travis!) we then had a little misjudgment in the next heat on a pretty fast B&S Earthworks Timmis Speedway landing the car on its lid on lap 2… (gently, with minimal damage!) but resulting in a mechanical flag & a few less points than hoped

Prelim main 2 we started P7 & worked our way forward to 3rd place, to be sitting 19th from 50 cars at the completion of night 1.

Hopefully tonight will bring us a little less stress 😅 a slower race track and some ripper racing for the Mildura Gateway 50 lap feature for 10K to win!💰🎗️

The off season is officially over!💥
1️⃣6️⃣0️⃣ days out of the seat, but we are BACK with a big one to start our season opener with 2 nights of racing for the 💰10K to Win💰Mildura Gateway Wingless Sprint Stampede at B&S Earthworks Timmis Speedway as supported by SIXT Car Rentals - Mildura

There has been plenty of rain right across Victoria over the past few days, but luckily Mildura has been relatively unscathed! Hopefully it’ll stay that way & we can all put on 2 ripper nights of racing, in memory of Tania Walsh, who gave so much of her time to our Wingless Sprint division over countless years🩷

Time to get back into it & put on a show for 10K!

💥W.A Wrap Up!💥

5 nights of racing on the west coast of Australia, with a few highs & lows along the way! 👍👎😅

Burson Auto Parts Australian Title -
Night 1 - Started our Prelim A from P2 & picked up a podium, finishing in 2nd place🥈
Night 2 - Started the Championship A-Main from P8 & finished just off the podium in 4th place after battling for 3rd with 1 lap to go.

Component Specialties Des Nash Memorial -
Started the A main from P3 & was running strongly in 2nd place 18 laps into the race before a racing incident put us into the wall & put a hole in the radiator. We fell back a few more spots after the contact, and with the motor starting to labour, pulled infield to be credited with a DNF & a subsequent hurt motor.

Electrical Group Training W.A State Title -
After a motor change prior to the event… thanks again for lending us your spare Kirby Hillyer Racing & to Richard Hathaway for the use of your shed!
Night 1 - Started our Prelim A from P6, finishing in 4th place.
Night 2- Had another strong run going in the A-Main moving from 10th starting position to 6th in the opening 13 laps of the race, but then had the battery fail on a red light stoppage. After re-firing with a push start, we discovered the car had lost all power on the restart & we were forced to retire to the infield recording another DNF.

Despite some of the results being not quite what we’d hoped for, big thanks to Wingless Sprints W.A, Australian Wingless Sprint Racing & Perth Motorplex for a ripper 5 nights of racing. It was certainly a mission to make the 6,600km round trip, but absolutely worth it to be a part of some first class racing, at a first class venue👌

Another huge thank you to our family back at home who held the fort for us & looked after our 3 young kids over the 10 day period so that we could make the trip work! We absolutely could not have done it without your help! 🫶

Thank you also to all our partners that have supported us throughout the year & in particular to get us over to W.A. We appreciate you all!

This now wraps up our season.
We can’t wait to get back on track for 2026/27!

The final night of the Electrical Group Training Wingless Sprints W.A State Title at Perth Motorplex is here!

We’re currently siting 17th on points overall & with a 4 car invert we will start our final heat race of the weekend from position 2.

With some overheating issues now sorted, hopefully we can squeeze a little more speed out of the car tonight to get a good feature result to finish off our WA swing.
